You have a bit of a fixation on Ms Davies we think.
Who can blame him.
I bet she would get her crank fixed.....ooooh missis.

Its just an idea... Obviously nothing illegal but if a road trip to the front door was organised to say co inside with the new Defender release? If enough coverage could be got as to why it was happening surely something would have to be done? Even if it was to just further raise awareness and add pressure to JLR the negative publicity alone would surely warrant them to have a "meeting"? I don't know, it just feels like an achievable event that could be organised and may have an impact. Even if it didn't work to change JLRs mind on things it would be a great show of solidarity within the Land Rover community?

It was a comical spin on the Sharron thing tbh .... but yes 68k vehicles in China and 16k in Korea .....Why those 2 countries only though? I suspect laws to enforce are different there.

I know there’s a petition running already, but a petition here has the potential to trigger a parliamentary debate.
So, for example, asking Parliament to consider a public enquiry into JLR conduct in respect of recalls for engines, particularly where two major nation states have mandated such processes, would seem entirely appropriate.
And a Parliamentary enquiry into why this process is not taking place here, in JLRs supposed home country, in the UK would be entirely justifiable, as surely this should have been the very first place such an initiative was triggered.
And, you never know, given JLRs public stance on brexit and it’s counter position to current government policy, such a petition might actually get somewhere in that the politicians may grant a debate just to cause JLR some public embarrassment.
Either way, the potential publicity is further leverage.
Any mileage in this.

Such as shame they seem to concentrate more on how they can get out of something in place of solving it.
I would say all car makers have the same ideas ie jit deliveries and the same requirement for their hauliers to have insurance cover in place for failed deliveries in place, so thats not something you can solely blame of land rover.
As said above if people want to hurt them just dont buy their products, it really is that simple.

Would that not mean our supreme leader would then be a short with a really weird hair style who has eaten way to many pies?

Yes if only to sort out the presently discussed issue. We don’t want any public bromances with Trump to sort out who is going to nuke who.

The issue with this statement is that the very fact you have even read this suggests you already have bought one of their products (as your on this forum). I forget the exact old statistic but isn't it something like 70% of all Land Rovers ever sold are still on the roads? This means that the vast majority of Land Rovers are in the second hand "enthusiasts" market, the very people that are being most let down by JLR.

I very much doubt it now or you wouldn’t all be getting up tight about it. Not buying cars from them is the only thing they’ll listen too, LR won’t make a penny if you don’t buy new cars.DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Well that all escalated quickly.......
i think the petition to force a public debate in parliament would be cherished by some as suggested and would leave the politicians with some ammo to fire into the top brass at the head office,
I also think that the factory gates plan would only work if the press were in attendance, there has to be more than one in and out route at the factory, they build stuff like that into their contingency plan in the event of such occurrences, they can't build a reliable vehicle BUT they can plan to keep the production line operating.
That is what they have to do to keep the shareholders happy, AND That is what is going to be required to be achieved before anything ever happens with the company, if the board of directors are being poked by the shareholders they'll listen then......
I'm sure if this was escalated to our brethren in the Ewok forum and the FL3 forum they'd be all over it, these cars have had some serious issues, lets get something sorted...... AND WEAR YELLOW VESTS !!!!!
That'll em right up !Only dead fish go with the Flow !

The problem is the people who do buy new and have them serviced do appear to get some recompense, it’s the poor chap who buys them over two years old with his life savings that is ignored and scoffed at!
Pity they aren’t like Rolls Royce and make aircraft engines, one failure would lead to a public enquiry! It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
