Have you checked the fuel is getting to the fbh? Had problems with mine and when I took the fuel pipe off there was no fuel getting though even though I could hear the pump ticking!D3 x2 now gone

I have run the fuel primer routine, with the fuel pipe going to a plastic bottle and I collected probably up-to 50ml of diesel (not more than that).
Also I checked if the inlet pipe to the FBH was blocked using a very thin piece of wire, all seemed ok.
Thanks

Whilst searching for more information about FBH, i found this video on youtube.
The FBH is on a test bench, and you can see the flames from the heater.

Good news, I managed to source a 2008 FBH from fleabay last night, £56 + £10 P&P, not bad, me thinks!
It needs some TLC before installing it I'm riding a R1250GSA Triple Back

Hi All
Thanks to Martin, I have received the FBH Webasto Loom today (including Technical Support from an UK call centre ), and upon connecting to my FBH via a very inexpensive ODBD2 lead, I was able to read the errors as per the picture below:
Upon, clearing all faults, I was able to run the FBH at length, however the stats looks a bit odd, like temperature & glow plug and the heating output is nearly at 0!
Is there anything else that i could do with the Webasto tool to try to fix the issue?
Not sure what the problem is, so i'm eagerly waiting the new (2nd hand) FBH to compare the results.
Thanks

The status page looks ok to my eyes. The fault codes and snapshot temperatures do get my attention. It would be worth checking the sensed temperatures against actual measurements.

Hi All
Have received the 2nd FBH, looked OK from outside, so installed and using the webasto software, i tried to fire it several times.
It makes all the right sounds and noises, and it goes through the process of firing, it detects the flame and when it starts to kick in second gear, the whole thing shuts-down, and i get the following error:
I have also tried to use the LJR SDD to run the firing test but no luck!
I've primed, tested all components and Nada!
I had to stop working on it as it was very cold! Tomorrow i'll try to record the webasto session and share with you guys.
In the mean time do you have any ideas pls?
Thanks

The code suggests no flame detected. Check the condition of the fuel cup in the burner can.
Your unit has quite a few hours on it so it may not be in a great state.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
As today wasn't cold enough, I hope i'll be able to test the FBH being activated by the car.

Not seen this failure mode before. First sign of an oddity was some carbon residue on the burner fuel feed pipe and some sooting fanning away from the venturi from what looked like a hairline crack. Releasing the tension from the retaining plate revealed a rather more major crack through the ceramic:

From the autopsy it looked like the failure mode was initially gradual, with the FBH burning despite a partial split, before failing completely leaving the FBH unable to run. The burner can itself was in very good condition with no sign of overheating.
Before the tensioning clamp was removed the crack was very difficult to see, so something to look for if you have a clean FBH that does not want to run.

Hi,
I've ordered some fbh right hand drive diagnostic cable from the shop, now as I've moved from a VAG car I already have all the diagnostics cables for that, one being a can bus/k-line diagnostics lead, do you think that might work instaed of buying another cheapo one?
Thanks

Morning all, i have not just one but two FBH not working! Need to strip them both down and give them some love before the snow comes!
Is there a reason why virtually all the the photos will not work??
