Does anyone do remaps for 15.5hp Kohler single-pot two strokes? My Husqy needs more power. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Bodsy, i'd agree with you - although someone has clearly had their chain pulled to warrant a response from such a 'worthy source'

Why can't questions be answered on open forum?? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I agree DG,
surely that's the point of an open forum? say your piece, state your opinion, vent your spleen... whatever.
it's the indidual's choice as a reader/contributor/whinger as long as content's not personally insulting or deflammatory
then that's the idea isn't it? use the info provided or don't to make a reasonably informed choice on this sort of thing, If anyone has any form af agenda then it willl always become evident in the longevity or lack of it in a 'poster's' commitment to a forum such as this,
M and theeeeennn......???

Funny how the site sponsors hardly ever contribute to 'meaningful' discussions.
Call me a cynic

The ultimate longevity of any product lies with the customer. I don't believe that TFC has suggested at any time that the TC or JE products are not viable or not relatively competent...quite clearly they are and continue to sell. What he has suggested is that there is another alternative and he is willing to stand that side by side with other products ....TBH Any of these products can w k themselves off all day long.... but it will all come back down to the customer perception at the end of the day....if it's crap then it's goodnight Mr. Chips.
TFC has a new product that he is keen to promote...JE has a product that they stay quietly confident about...and Turbochip appear to have a good product but some within are quite happy to want to concentrate on bullying any opposition. In doing this it is obviously an extension of the company infighting that existed very publicly...and seems to be continuing We can all read between the lines
I for one have previously been openly sceptical of any remapping...but having attained a further insight into how it works and what implications exist for the vehicle..I have changed my stance (you should always be brave enough to overcome your prejudices) and would consider a remap now ( this will appear convenient to some ..but that is not a recent change of stance ...and if some wish to think that then I couldn't really give a f k). On the basis that we now have 3 sponsors trying to promote their product.... one keen and happy to conduct enquiries openly, another who is staying silent and one more who is more interested in openly stifling opinion and answering questions behind closed doors...what options are we, the customer, left to consider 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Would be nice if all involved put up a selection of manual and auto D3's tuned with their product for a group of D3 owners to try out.
Or even better give us all the chance to test each product in out own D3's and then make a judgement call on who to chose.
Just a thought.

But would it be a 'like for like' comparison?
I'm sure it end up like a horse 'doping' session just before the race "People simply disappeared, always during the night. Your name was removed from the registers, every record of everything you had ever done was wiped out, your one-time existence was denied and then forgotten. You were abolished, annihilated: vaporized was the usual word."

If they applied the tune to your own D3 and then you compared each it would be easier to tell which is best.
