Because I'd had a disco before, and before that, and before that (get the picture), going back to 1991, at which point the choice was an RR classic, which was pants compared to the disco back then.

Don't forget the reason why Range Rovers are different to hedgehogs.
Hedgehogs have pricks on the outside.....
I'm a big fan of Range Rovers but the practicality of the Discovery swung it for me. However, I have managed to blag a new one for a half day Land Rover experience which I'm quite looking forward to. 2015 Discovery 4 HSE Corris with Blackpack

The D3 is, unbelievably, far more practical and you feel like you're not abusing it when you put it through its paces.
I feel it's a better recreational vehicle and the 7 seats just make it

The D4 was on the company car list, the FFRR wasn't. Simples

Spent ages looking at which car (not only lr) gave greatest load space and general practicalities and although the ffrr does seem to have a slightly wider load space the d3 was a generally more practical proposition. Also, somehow, clients don't see it as quite so ostentatious.

It had 7 seats, was more practical, cheaper and had the right image.
Besides, the FFRR and Evoque fight for space at my kid's school and they are all driven by trophy wives. No thanks.

RR'S used to have a whiff of "old money" Harris Tweed...now they have a whiff of footballer in my view (apologies if that upsets anyone).....did drive a 4.4 TDV8 (now previous gen)a few months ago back-to-back with the new D4....
thoughts were,RR has more space in the front, but other than that fantastic engine, the D4 beat it hands down in most other (important to me) areas....
Was shocked at the poor access to the rear seats in the RR....although I did like the electic extending side steps fitted to the demo 8)"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Re 7 seats, waste of time and money for me. My rear seats have never been sat on, ever, and live under one of the beds. Plus the rears have probably been sat on no more than a dozen times, they spend most of the year under the stairs. Saves lugging all that weight around, plus load deck lets me bolt the Engel and other stuff straight to it.

Got one or two but tend to take them out in the other car, better chance of getting to the destination.

I had a RR, I got fed up with the attitude of other drivers, the Disco just isn't in your face so much and the 4 is a very sweet drive.

I love the look of the FFRR, especially the new one, and would also like the TDV8 egine, but couldn't live with the smaller boot and only 5 seats.
NasherHeaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.
