Water in the footwell

Hi every one whilst being in the frame to sort a few jobs needed on the D3, I have found this morning a small puddle on the passenger footmat Sad

I presume this this has happened recently before as well because Saturday evening I noticed all the windows were huffed up whilst it was parked up.

The water is not a massive amount and its fresh water (no anti freeze) at least.........so any ideas if there are known issues with window or bulk head leaks. Only happens after terential down pours.

Thanks in advance,

BP

Could be a leaking sunroof drain; see here.

Or it could be missing plugs from where the short roof rail screws attach to your roof (if you have them fitted).

It's also been suggested the door seals may have frozen and got dislodged by opening/closing allowing water to penetrate.

Hope this helps.

Defo wont be sunroof issue ............I deliberately found a vehicle with out them.......as every single LR vehicle I have owned over the last 24 years has leaked in one fashion or naother and the last one had twin electric roofs......we fondly called twin ponds Laughing
It seems to be dripping from near an air vent just by the glove box area.............

Cheers any how, BP

If you don't have the roof rails, did you take a roof rack off?

Just check that the roof plugs are in for all of the mounting points.

Cheers,

Hi BP,
Another source of leaks is the external A-pillar trim. If this had been removed (eg if windscreen replaced), it should be refitted with new clips.

Best Wishes,
Peter

I had this problem a while ago. It turned out that I had dislodged what I think the garage had said was a drain tube for the aircon that was located behind the passenger glove box. I had been installing some wiring and that was the cause. Rolling Eyes Landrover fixed the problem by reattaching the pipe.

mine didn't reappear either and there was only perhaps half a pint of water at most, haven't got round to checking pollen filter which was changed just before christmas, but otherwise aircon sounds likely.
