I've told the dealer (Albany WA)and he's going to correct the problem.
I don't care about compo for the tyres, though. I just want the car fixed so it doesn't happen again.Have a nice day!

The photo looks like something I've seen before. My rears are exactly the same. The front tyres have worn evenly. LR will fix my alignment problem on Thursday and are giving me 2 new tyres. I got 25k out of the first set of rears, and have now got another 15k on the first replacement set. Even with the mileage LR came to the party. My biggest problem is that it is 700km round trip to the nearest dealer. This delayed LR's response.
Just don't no for an answer, emailing photos also helps.06 TDV6 SE with many LR and after-market extras. Used only on weekends and trips out west.

Just been in and got my 2006 realigned today, car has only done 5000 miles but you could already see slight uneven wear on the inside of all four tyres. Dealer had to fill the tank prior to realigning and he said they were all slightly out. Will keep an eye on it.
Dealer: "Couldn't find a TSB"
ME: "Check GTR"
Dealer: "What's GTR"
Me: "Global Technical Reference website"
Dealer: "For Australian vehicles?"
Me: "Well there's NA and Rest of World. We fit into Rest of World"
Dealer: "I'll go and check"
2mins go by and Dealer returns.
Dealer: "Sorry, but we just found it as it's new. You need to have the entire suspension system cleared, adjusted and re-loaded. I will take us a day or more. We can rebook for next week"
Me: "I live 550km away".
Dealer: "Sorry, You let us know when you can return and we'll fit you in"
Have a nice day!

Not good!
I am assuming that the adjusting is a full four wheel alignment. Ring and make sure that is what they are doing.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I'll check today, but I think it's two TSB's. One at 1.8hours to set the geometry (Uneven Tyre Wear TSB) and one at 5+hours to get it into the right mode to do the other one (Dynamic Suspension Setting Geometry Mode).Have a nice day!

That would make sense as they had to do mine twice.
not so bad wear the second time I asked.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

We bought a 06 model HSE ten weeks ago from a dealer when it had only 6700 miles on clock, I was therefore not expecting to replace tyres for a very long time. Two days after picking it up I checked the tyre pressures and found all four low with the fronts at 23 psi and fed this back to the dealer who stated that they would have been checked on the service the vehicle had prior to delivery. I agreed to differ on that and reset the pressures to what they should be and have checked them every week since.
The vehicle has now done 8800 miles and I just noticed that the inside of the front offside tyre is worn to the point of illegality and on checking the tread depth of all four every one is down to 4 mm. I like to change my tyres when they reach 3 mm so the amount of life left in these is minimal. I have booked it into dealer later this week and look forward to discussing the issue with them.

Looking at the article on uneven tyre wear. I have just inspected mine and found a minimum tyre tread depth of 3to 4mm all around with uneven wear only on the front o/side tyre. I will be taking this up with LR to check for alignment as its never been kerbed and never off-road. Reading other members reports i hope to get a lot more miles before replacement. It's a 2005 TDV6 SE (auto) Odometer reading 19783 miles as at 300107..

In March '06 @ 26844 miles the driver's side rear tyre was loosing pressure and was found to be DANGEROUSLY worn on the inside with the wire showing through ! ALL the rest of the tyres had 3 to 4 mm of tread left on them - as did the worn one on 75% of its width.
In conjunction with my LR dealer the vehicle was taken to the local tyre people who checked all the alignments and found that even when the rear camber setting was set to it's maximum, they could not get the tracking on all 4 wheels totally correct. The dealer's Service Manager collected the tyre saying that it would be shown to LR technical people for comment. NOTHING more was heard ! I renewed ALL tyres at this time (even though not worn out) as I don't like mixing worn and new tyres. I have to admit that I forgot about it, but expected SOME feedback !
Jan '07 @ 47500 miles - Excessive wear noticed on inside of driver's side front tyre. All tyres again around 4mm of tread remaining.
I had it checked and aligned again, but it was confirmed that the camber alignment on the rear driver's side is set to it's maximum and cannot be corrected further, thus this will put alignment of front tyres out.
Again I got the Dealer's Service Manager involved (who's pathetic comment was "L R Technical don't listen to me"). A fitter looked at the vehicle and confirmed that the Rear Driver's side camber adjuster was set at maximun. After the 'not being listened to' comment I got the Dealer Principle involved - I directed him to this Forum. I was asked to complain to Customer Service (It might help them to be listened to, he said). This was done a week ago - I await a reply - From ANYONE !Hire the Best at www.aadhire.com
Dude, the LR people need to undertake two TSB's; one to set the car in the right mode and the other to actually adjust the settings. The local tyre shop can't do it unless they have a Testbook and WDS!
I just had the rears done - a full day job - under warranty.
I will now have to go back in several weeks to have the fronts done, because they couldn't do them as there were some bolts worn and new ones have to come from England.
So when they arrive, it's off again 550km to the dealer! Have a nice day!

Since reading this thread a few weeks ago, I noticed my wife’s tyres were wearing unevenly so while speaking to my local Landy service centre, I commented about the problems being put forward by quite a large number of people.
He told me to bring the D3 in to the service centre and they world change the suspension mode before the D3 went to their recommended tyre centre to get the correct alignment.
I haven’t done it yet but has anyone else been offered this service

Yes I think Alto did this on mine. Had to have a second goe at it so they probably set it first second time round. Sid LR allowed them a few goes at getting it right. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

The dealer did the alignment himself as far as I'm aware.
I'm intrigued with those who've been told that their dealer won't do it under warranty due to the number of km/miles. I've done 75000km and there was no dispute that it was a warranty job.
BTW, no charging problems whatsoever since the SC80 went in! Have a nice day!
