Can you comment on this? I can comment on this bit - I cannot think of a better reason to get this kit than avoiding hearing Dora singing about, well anything at all really! And if I hear the Barney theme tune just one more time Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

Screen are basically vertical in my car (they do look as if they will tilt forward before you fit them, but the angle of your seat & the angle set on the headrest combine to set them vertical). They are a perfect height for my 9 & 12 year old, i would have thought that your kids in car seats would be approx the same height off of the seat as my kids not in car seats?
For the money paid it is well worth it, i have just purchased a Veba in car DVD with USB & SD Card to use with the headrests & for approx £250 I have a fully functioning system. I would say go for it, you don't know when an offer like this will come around again

cheddarwards wrote:Fitted the headrests at the weekend, very straight forward & look great. I have currently installed as per the original pictures with the AV inputs beside the aux audio input, which as i understand it is the OEM look. I am going to move these though into a small box & locate them under one of the front seats & thus you don't see all the cabling for the AV in-signal from your DVD player/Playstation etc.
If anybodies thinking of doing this upgrade i would thoughily recommend it for a very resonable investment. I am now looking for a VEBA DVD player with USB in which i think i will mount in the glovebox. Any thoughts on this location or a recommendation of a suitable machine?
VEBA DVD looks great Will try and get two
As Rescue01 has asked, how was the install? Were all the plugs in the same place as the instructions suggest? Disco 5 HSE Lux

The Veba DVD arrived yesterday, i have yet to fit it (as i am unsure of where it will be most accessable/safest etc) but the unit looks a great piece of kit & you can access any files connected via the USB from the remote. The unit also comes with 2 sets of A/V out plugs, so maybe i could connect the other set to the sat nav screen?
The instal itself was very straight forward, the provided wiring loom works well (albeit its quite short in places & doesn't give you a lot of room to play with). The headrest screens seem decent quality & turn on & off when they sense an input.
Personally i took little notice of the LR instructions (as they are for a Freelander & as ever it is just pictures). The headrest element was very easy & took no more than 10 minutes per headrest. I cut the top plastic bar on the handle rather than cut a hole into the headrest itself, this seems to be the neatest option & the handle is still very firm once re-installed & bolted into place.
As i mentioned before i would not recommend installing the A/V sockets into the space next to the Audio in plug (which is where they are designed to go). Although this looks OEM when things aren't plugged into them, as soon as you attach a DVD player or Playstation to the system you have trailing wires all through the floor of the rear seats. I am going to remove these sockets again & put them under the drivers seat.
Total instal time was approx 1.5 hours going quite slowly & double checking all my work.
Any thoughts on a position for the DVD player (its three quarter DIN size) & has a IR extender so doesn't need to be seen?

Thanks
No idea on the location for the dvd player. Was planning on under the front seats, as I'll have 2, but they may be difficult to reach. I'll see when I get them. Was going to get the player that takes the sd card - 32Gb should hold a few films Disco 5 HSE Lux

Haven't checked to see if it's a big enough area, but could it go where the second row cup holder tray is? Dr. Ian Malcolm:

My two lazy "assistants" are going to love mine, a few vids's of toms mating should do it, just hope the head phones fit
Don't worry if you don't get it, TLO knows just what i mean, as long as he add the words "OR ELSE" to the BBS SPY pencil marks on the box he is kindly keeping for me till his return from his well justified week off, so his underlings don't make any life threatening mistakes
Actually, i carped on so badly to SWMBO to go for these, that its really me thats worried
If i can't fit em, i am gonna be sleeping in the D3, possibly watching Toms mate every night

Hi, 2 questions:
Which Veba DVD model did you buy and where is the best price? and
DO you have to cut the plastic bars to fit the new headrests or are there other options?
