Did if stop because the white slider. Came up flush with the pump?. If so do not disturb without further thought.
I am uncertain if the seal is adhesive coated in which case probably best to leave.
Anybody have knowledge?.

No theres no coating its just a resistance fit, the seal normally goes it 1-2 mm deeper than the casing due to some of the casings having a shamfer on the edge. You are supposed to leave the seal in place for a short time as the part that seals against the crank can get out of shape when being fitted and due to the material its made off it returns to the correct shape with time. The old rubber seals used to have a spring band inside to stop this but the new ptfe ones dont.
In theory if you fitted the seal then started the engine the seal would leak but in reality nobody could put the engine back together fast enough for that to happen.Andrew

Does this look ok?
Tensioner just did hand tight, then used Alan key to move arrow and window over groove, then torqued up

Cam wheels aren’t bolted as originally done but are tight. Done bit tighter than listed as it felt too loose for my likingDisco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7

Well spotted!!! It fell down in mud
Seal is on now and hurried so it can funk off now if it’s leaking!!!Disco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7

Crankshaft timing pin in rather than flywheel locked?.
Camshaft locking pins should be straight. Has right hand one bent?.

Remove locking pins, turn engine over twice using crankshaft bolt and check that pins fit in again.
Going well

Belt not in same position on camwheels.
Suggests one needs straightening.
Don't force it. Slacken tensioner bolt, reduce tension, straighten belt, retension.

Hopefully the 2 rotations has sorted that.
They both seam to want to be towards the back. It should sort itself out
