I’d never even driven one before, it’s surprising how quick it is

299 freely aspirating horses do move a ~3230 kg vehicle pretty well, yes

2005 HSE on 127k miles (23k by me since Oct 2016) - circa £6200 with the private V8 plate.
I will need to do an advert at the weekend and stay within the forum guidelines so that I don't fall foul of DG / Gareth.
Just had the Mrs check that the deposit for the 110 has been taken by the LR dealer (gone slightly quiet on that front) hence the delay in responding. It has.
I'm hoping the new 110 proves to be as reliable as the V8. Fingers crossed.

Took the D3 out for work out this weekend after being left for a couple of weeks.
Sticking rear passenger door lock and boot lid won't open so parts ordered for those today.
Oh, and got my first carpark ding too - left a 3 inch high scuff on one of the rear doors. They were good enough to give it a rub to check the damage but not to confess to it

V8 Owner Here
Have been running our V8 SE for a while now and hope to keep doing so. It needs some work but lucky for us Woody lives near by and so have a great source of experience there. He has already done a fair bit on it and will no doubt be again soon as we catch up on all the bits that need doing.
Very happy with the V8 and find it crazy that my gas guzzling 4.4 V8 can go into London and be ULEZ compliant but our 60mpg Diesel Ford is not.Black 05 V8SE
Hey guys. My recently purchased V8 (from Ivan on here) went in for a full service with my local indie last month. While it was with them they carried out a software update of their own volition. They let me know when I picked it up and I asked them if that would affect the mapping for LPG. He thought for a second and didn't think so, he said it was just transmission and suspension.
I filled with LPG yesterday and when I switched to gas while going along the motorway I got the check-engine light on. I switched back to petrol and the car ran fine all the way home. I plugged the car in and I had code P0171-00 (E8 ) System too lean (bank 1). Since running on petrol this has not re-appeared so I am sure it's related to gas. Do you guys think the mapping for LPG has been messed up? I'll give the indie a call tomorrow but I would appreciate your thoughts.2005 D3 V8

Recently joined the V8 clan, picked up a MY05 HSE with 105 k Kms, nice external condition but needs some work. Entering the LR world after 10 years of Toyota 4Runner.
Loving the car, accepting the costs, so far.

It was time for regular 10k km oil and filter change again. I noticed that one of the VVT grommets had some oil around it and decided to replace both at the same time. Ditto with the oil filler neck and cap.
All easy to replace.

Added a manual release for the upper tailgate. Install was relatively easy and Land Rove Passion’s instructions were quite good.
Also, I guess the previous owner had had issues with the actuator once upon the time since there was a lot of tape already
