Hi when my low pressure pump was failing the engine took longer and longer to start. Not necessarily temp dependent but a free check using another excellent guide from Robbie may save (divert) cash before you attack the #####glowplugs

My new GlowPlugs only measured 7A
I just had all 6 of mine replaced its a long story but cost me nothing but the price of the glowplugs - i consider myself very fortuitous. I was curious to test again as my entire driver side bank was 0A previously. I now get around 23-25A on each bank (all three wires) with my Amp clamp which is a Fluke 362. 7A per glowplug seems to be bang on considering my results.
Anyway I literally havent noticed any difference to how the D3 starts. Glowplugs seem to be redundant in Victoria, Australia. Aidan
