IOS 8.0.2 doesn't support mirroring your device screens to a tv. So if you want to watch films on a large screen you can't. 
At least not by cable you can't.

Apple was one man, his ideas and a team to implement it. The man has gone and the team now have no lead. My 5s could be my last apple device 2005 D3 'S' Automatic. EGR's blanked, Alisport silicon hoses from the group buy, RRS alloys, more to come

Installed iOS 8.02 & lost my Donald Duck alarm clock.... BREXIT - done properly.
