Sorry for the delay folks, but we are getting there. It is not easy and Webasto are trying very hard to sort things out. You will be informed as soon as it is sorted out.

It is possible to make it work now, with a manual setting system, similar to the one in the car, but we are trying for a remote system.

I went to sort out the new one today and it doesn't have the settings for a pre heater but still has the FBH under the bonnet, will they be able to make it work if it is like that.

Yes, if the kit is there, don't need the Landy software at all. The silly bit is that the aerial for the remote Webasto is in the rear offside window, but can't be used either. Beats me why LR have done that.

It is easier to fix a new aerial as they have done, rather than run loads of wires everywhere to the back. The aftermarket kit, has to be simple and it will be. All we are waiting for is the command unit now with multiple settings from the remote.

I took my car in today for a numerous reasons. One of them is installation of the Webasto timer. Estimated time for Webasto installation was four hours but because of the other issues I will get it back next day. After that I will post a report.

The timer only takes about 1 hour to install, it is so simple and sits on the dash board. It is the remote that is the problem that I want. Where are they getting the components from Germany because none are official yet for the D3 and is Webasto installing for you?

I understood that it is not only the timer but also a pump for circulating water as the TT-V model does not itself contain the pump as other aftermarket Webasto heaters have.
Anyway the timer looks like the standard oval Webasto timer.

Yes the oval is the base standard timer. You vehicle is petrol I believe, mine is diesel and has all the bits as standard including the engine heater water circulation pump.
One item that was missing on mine was the fan speed control called the P Top, which has now been installed.
Who is doing your work for you, the dealer?

Mine is diesel as well. I have been told that main difference between TT-V and other heaters like TT-Z (that I had in my previous vehicle) is that as TT-V is made for diesel auxiliary heating purposes it does not contain the pump because motor is already running when it starts up and circulating water.
It is local dealer who are installing it. At the same time they are also fitting electrical heater and a battery charger.

May I suggest that you wait a little while as we have nearly cracked the official aftermarket fitment, through the manufacturer. There are issues arising each time we set something up, including fan speed, hence the need for a 'fan top' etc.
Also whether the heater defaults to the correct setting once the car has gone to sleep. No use just fitting a unit, if the blower vents close, will do a lot of damage.
Warranty, through Webasto it looks as if we will not have any effect as they are the OEM makers and this is a prototype to offer as an official LR aftermarket option.
Cost ally, not sure yet, will let you know when the wiring harnesses are made.
