Wiggs, what are you going to use the wifi for and how far will the signal go in mtrs? I am sitting here trying to justify it to myself, just need some ideas to make the jump from DR400 to the 500. If I had a 300 then it may be a good option rather than a 400, but what was it that made you go for it other than the obvious that I normally go by which is it's a new gadget

If a 32GB card is installed how much footage (hours) could one expect to record on a continual loop?
Is this the maximum size card that can be utilised?
Wonder if it would be possible to record wireless stream to an onboard TB drive?

Depends on what quality you set it to record .... And how sensitive the motion sensor is set for parking
I typically get a day and a half .., but it won't be recording 24/7 through the night .
Dosent matter now with wifi .. As if something hapoends I can just wifi it to the phone ... And store it in the internal memory for later
32 gb is the max reccomended because of the file format ... But there are some on here who run 64g cardsG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

it now shows a small map on any files you save internally to the iphone

The Android app has updated too, don't see many changes thou (it has always shown the map).
Thinking about changing both of mine from 400 v1 / 380 to both wifi but am a bit concerned about poor video quality I've read about now they've lowered the bitrate.
Seen some very poor sample clips especially around trees for some reason
How's yours?
