adara, can't recall if your car is auto or manual.
BN for referenve, if you run your cursor over the D3 graphic in the side bar of the contributor it declares model, colour and spec including auto or manual (assuming the detials were supplied as per Martins request)  TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue and still smiling

aitchy, the car is automatic.
Fuel consumption going slightly down; after 500 miles is now 19 MPG. Still a long walk from the 24 Land Rover was promising...

Just done my mileage for the last month. Bad news guys, my average fuel consumption has dropped from 25.2 to 22.5  I have done 3500 miles since I last checked the actual figures. (I ignore the trip computer for mileage calculation).
In this period, I have switched to new Michelin Synchrones, which I am very impressed with regarding noise reduction. Thy claim to improve fuel consumption, but I am not so sure.
The only other factor is the weather, the FBH has been on overtime this month, I have used it a few times to Pre-heat for about 1/2 hr. I reckon this might use about a pint of fuel each time.
Average speeds have also dropped, I have been held up in more jams this month,- I have not had a journey on the M6 without a jam recently! ever since the clocks changed!
My car is 1 year old in 4 days, and has got over 30000 miles on. Last winter, it averaged 22 until May when it started to climb to its peak of 25.7 in August.

My fuel consumption has been worse since the cold weather has set in, one of the negative points of the FBH I suppose  The End

must admit thet cosumption is now around 23-24 from an average of 27 which i guess is due to that mysterious FBH. can i just check my understanding of this device;
FBH is fitted to all models
on early models you had an option to set the timer (which didnt work)
there was a work around using the radio trick
later models deleted the timer option from the menu
FBH works below 8 degrees and looks like an under bonnet fire on cold mornings
this kills fuel consumption but adds heat to the car more quickly
the heat in the car boils your right foot and freezes your contact lenses..
so far so good? TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue and still smiling

Asked my dealer to look at the heater whilst the N/S/F wheelarch multiplug was being sorted, fan was blowing but the vents were not opening fully, if at all unless on manual, even then, the footwell vents did not always open. they initially claimed no fault, after a few words with the service manager  they remapped the HEVACS ECU...... now it works as I would expect it to
Note that the 'auto' system is designed not to kick in until the coolant temperature is sufficient to provide heat to the cabin. the programmed defrost is different, this will direct all the airflow to the screen right from startup at approximately 2/3 fan speed

It is, and the look clearly worked........ That said, and there is no reasonable explanation as to why this should be the case, it does not afflict all vehicles. Mine is the pinnacle of temperature controlled comfort.

The more us moan about it (and get EPQRs raised) the greater the chance of LR doing something about it. Hopefully there'll be a Service Bulletin out soon.... The End

I'd noticed my fuel consumption falling from 26.5 to circa 23.5 in the last week. I blamed the FBH in an earlier post. But, I also checked my tyre pressures and they were well down which is likely due to the temp drop.
After putting them back to 33 front and 36 rear on thursday, the fuel consumption has creapt back to 24.3.
I'm gonna part with 80 quid of my hard earned a bit later and i'll reset the counters to see how I go. I'll also do a manual calc to see how it compares with the computer. A lone Disco in the land of the Cayenne.
