It's the cold weather, most of us are suffering lower mpg, all the use the FBH is getting I suppose. I'm 3-4mpg down from previous averages, it's picked up little as it's not been so cold this week The End

81 litres, divided by 4.55 = 17.8 imperial Gallons.
430 Miles divided by 17.8 Imp Gallons = 24.1 Miles Per Gallon.
You probably know the sums, but I thought I would show you how I work it out in case you are doing it differently.
My trip says 22.4 mpg at the moment, and it is an average over the last 2000 miles. Mixed use with plenty of long runs, 85 mph on motorways.
My car has covered 31000 miles.
I think if your figures are correct, your car needs attention.

66.67 lts divided by 4.55 =14.65 gallons
236 miles divided by 14.65 gallons = 16.10 mpg 
my car has done 2500 miles
my trip reads 17.2 mpg

The FBH isn't going to make 5 MPG difference.

When you say your car is "sick" is this engine (mechanical) or electronics related?

After 800km I'm still at 17.6 mpg (16l/100km) no matter what I do, no matter how peacefully I drive... 
Oh, and one more thing, the low fuel warning comes out when only 35km are left although the book says it should light at 80km?!

adara, when I am in Romania, I have yet to see anyone drive peacefully other than the gypsy carts and even they run

adara, the car is new and the burner is also using fuel as it must be freezing in your location permanently now. This all adds up to a heavy fuel usage. Do you drive long or short trips normally?

Very pleased with the fuel consumption so far with my auto. The car has only done 1200 miles and has been averaging 24 mpg. But the trip to Rockingham on sunday the computer readout was 25.9, just filled up and found that even with the off road use it still did 24  . At the LR Experience day last week, I zeroed the computer on the centre's HSE and an hour of off-road later it was showing 7mpg (diesel auto). Thankfully they are rather more fuel-efficient on road! Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue

during my one-day drive test with TDV6 HSE in rather cold conditions (snow, -2 C) I got 23.5 MPG. felt it was a bit high but then I learned through the forum the FBH issue....

Brian, I drove mainly in the city during this period, frequent stops, average speed 20km/h (12-13mph)...

7 mpg  ? Wonder what my V8 would return off-road and how easy is offroading when towing a tanker for top-ups? D3 HSE V8...

Only getting 18.5 MPG at mo only done 1k miles very stop start trips and in winter with pe- burner on for most of it. will see in the summer!!!!!! oh sh*t the air con will be on then they must of tested it in spring to get those figures!!!!! seeekey LR
