Currently in a hotel in Enfield, and just got up to see about 3 inches outside. My journey back to Manchester may be difficult.

Have any of the muppets on TV this morning ever even seen "proper" snow?

Lots of reports of "heavy snow" and "treacherous conditions". Just looks like a few inches to me. No biggy.

"Eee, you don't get snow like when I were a lad" (you really don't).
