Plenty here. Just off for a bit of fun to watch the traffic on the M4 struggling up the hill from the flatlands of Swindon!

Have just come to work in the Mini as the wife's run off with the D3.
Don't mind one bit - top fun.
Spent my youth driving in snow in a Bedford CF pickup full of concrete blocks for ballast.
Mind you, I have to say, watching some people driving this morning, DSC across all cars can't come soon enough.

According to the news on (yes I’m old before my time) BBC Radio 4, police have abandoned (I assume down south) using "normal road cars" and are exclusively using 4 X 4’s, has anybody told King Ken and his army of Green warriors? It might be time to call out the reserve Tax collectors. Brute force and ignorance, the D3 does the rest.

A decent amount falling in Leics. Just taken the good lady to work via the back roads, got a serious problem with the jaw ache from the permagrin atm.
On a side note. LOL @ the number of drivers who either, drive without lights despite the seriously reduced viz and, the idiots who think that the braking distance in snow is less than on dry roads^^.

Naff all down here in Dorset, for which I am grateful. The police in this country tend to take the view that all cars are equal, closing off roads and motorway lanes that a 4x4 could handle with relative impunity, which is bloody frustrating. Once in town you are stuffed, with all and sundry getting in a panic and blocking roads. When it gets like that I tend to leave the car at the nearest station and use the train and good old shanks pony rather than risk some twonk in a 316compact powersliding into my pride and joy. That or working from home if the client I'm working for is suitably enlightened.
Last January in France much of the motorway network was closed by heavy snow storms but we kept getting waved through in an L200 and a Jeep GC. Similarly on the return in February many stretches of motorway were down to 1 lane at 10-15 mph (just caused by the mentality of many motorists) with tailgating practically compulsory. Caused us no end of amusement as we went past at a steady 30, particulalry when a lorry lost traction on an uphill stretch and 3 of the cars behind slid gracefully into the lorry and each other as they were driving so close. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

There was about an inch worth of slush on Lambeth Bridge (as a walked across it) at 9am this morning with a light flurry still falling.
Virgin Trains to the north are running a reduced service so it could be uncomfortable later on - why-oh-why did I not drive this week? Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
