Ok! Heres a stupid question which may have been asked before, but im lazy and reading through all these posts is just to much effort. But isnt it cheaper and just as effective to use BP or Shell Ultimate Diesel?????
Sorry! In advance. H

No, the composition of the fuel is set by law which limits what they can do when producing 'ultimate diesel'. Adding 2sO gets around the regulations.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

That's it, not sure if it is FB or FC but it is mineral based and low ash.
Hi Robbie / DGR
When buying this, I asked for clarification on mineral status and what specs etc? Here is the response from Alex Oils

Ratio of 1:200. So on a 80 litre fill, I would add 0.4 litres of 2 stroke.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
I still have an issue ref synthetic 2t, why will semi synthetic mix OK, yet fully synthetic won't , however reading back over Yamaha-Fans post, it looks like the only reason she said not to use it was purely down to cost.In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Down and out's Velar

OK I have read a fair few of the posts about this but can't trawl through all of them so could I ask a couple of simple question...
Is this ok for my 07 D3 HSE diesel with 92k ?
I believe I should see smoother/quieter engine running and better MPG - is that correct ?
I am sure I have seen some posts of people who experienced juddering/lumpy running and increased smokiness using 2so which stopped when they ceased using it - is this the norm or unusual ?
How long have you been using 2so ?

I had been using it in my 57SE for a few months before it was sold last year and all was running well
have been using it in my D2 for well over a year now and MOT is due next month, so see if its running any smoother/efficient last year the garage said how clean it was running 8) hope it keeps going that way.
never noticed any more MPG but it does sound quieter and has stayed that way Transit! 2019

I have used it religiously in my 2006 LR3 and BMW X5 since new. LR3 sold after 5 years and replaced with new RRS. I still have the X5. No issues over the 7 years, a little extra lubrication can't go astray with the modern HP diesel fuel pump systems.
