If it comes to it, I would advise body off. 2-3 hours to lift it off, and gives perfect access to the rear of the engine. If the garage has a 2 post ramp, then they can lift it. Its a big strip to get the engine out with the body on

Having watched Mikey do mine, it really is amasing how quick it comes off, he even has a guide. It is only 10 little bolts after all!
If it does come off then remeber the brake pipes as well, far easier.Joined the BMWX5 45e group

well yesterday went to tow d3 to mates wookshop , just stoped to pull out on busy main road and tow bar bent in half so had to use the nice rope that i got of forum got to work shop and spent 4 hours trying to drill out broken stud , had one of those cameras on flexy thing to c wats going on but no good not enough room so thats it monday gonna start to strip down ready to take body off wat a -------------------------------------------------

You can have it running within an hour or so of the body meeting the chassis, though it obviously takes longer to put it all back together, fullyMy D3 Build Thread
