well another few hours on her today ,got heater working and fitted new return pipe on injector , so just amp to sort and satnav  -------------------------------------------------
if you cant hold on dont let go , it ill come in handy for something even if you never use it.

yea slowly mikey  i dont think any power getting to sat nav as i cant even get disk out  and the amp i dont no how to test it  cd is playing but :censored:all sound -------------------------------------------------

Well she went in for mot today all good , but still no amp and no sat nav  doesnt seem to be any power getting to it any  ,stew -------------------------------------------------

Stew, in my amateur view, they would be things that can be powered with IGN off, and therefore at risk of 'polarity issues' 
In theory they'd blow their fuses?? (something like nr 47 / 48 ish in the glovebox fuseboard) - or maybe not since it's the same current but backwards?
Can you test the feed to the amp & dvd player (test screwdriver)?
Otherwise... question to the electrical genii of the forum: what blows in an amp when fed reverse polarity? Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

Dave its going in to my local auto spark on friday , he rebuilt alternator for me ,hes been doing auto sparks for 30 year , so fingers crossed indy said new amp is big bucks and needs to be programed in to d3 -------------------------------------------------
