Sounds like you need a good lawyer! 4 wheel align is required because the car is suffering from 'bush settle' thats what tsb LA204-008V2 and it says 1.8 hours. I still think this should be a warranty repair, unless they can prove to you that another reason (accident) is to blame. Thats my opinion anyway.

I got my wheel alignment done and two new tyres after 28000 miles. If you do a search you will find a tsb on this. Go back to the stealers armed with the tsb then have a full blown argument (make sure its at a busy time) and then you should get it sorted>

I would think someones trying to rip you off, either of two:-
1] the previous owner for claiming it had 'never been used/abused off road'.
2] your LR 'dealer' for seeing the bulge in your wallet.
I'd get a second opinion [even a thorough independant inspection] before getting any further work done. 🏴

It was never used off road before - I can vouch for this the wheels are perfect no underbody rubbing at all. None of those tell tale signs.
Only off roading has been done by me and that was only on Sunday.
I will be having a word in the morning. By the way it use to be only 1.8 hours for a wheel alignment its now 6 thats what the dealer said.
However I will pursue the bush setlement, I am happy to buy new tyres as 30k for a 2.7 ton car seems resonable. 15 3.0 RRS HSE - Silver

Sit down with the dealer, and ask them to look at GTR with you. Show them the bulletin. Don't go in guns a blazin' try and be diplomatic, it works believe me!

It is with regret that my D3 is going on Friday got a good price from the dealer.
This thread is just about typical of my dealings with LR.
1st car replaced after a battle.
2nd car many varied issues most of which have never been totally sorted by 3 different dealers, incl tracking done 3 times now and still worse than when it started IMHO
New screen fitted and resealed twice but still leaking
etc etc
Last dealer very polite and no bull but still most things left unresolved.
Don't get me wrong I love the D3, it is a great car but just a bit fed up with the constant battle to get the car 'right'
I will be going back to a 'normal' car, but hoping to get an offroad 'toy' shortly
Will be selling lots of my D3 goodies incl xenons, spare wheel, blinds, mats and a great set of cooper stt's
Will be keeping an eye on you lot though Zermatt silver 06 reg.
Gone but not forgotten !!!

I wont name a shame just yet, I would rather they owned up and helped me out. I want an easy life with out being fleeced.
My experience so far with dealers has been shocking I had a Defender prior to this car and vouched I would never buy another land Rover, but I just love the green badge.
I will let you know when I have talked again to the service manager.
Thanks

Sorry to hear the news Cliff, but can understand your frustration, in fact mine is supposed to be going back to dealers soon for geometry check / adjustment due to uneven tyre wear, and I must say I'm certainly concerned that they will mess it up totally, and perhaps would be better off leaving it as is, even if it means replacing tyres prematurely. I don't want the bl**dy thing not driving straight, and it at least drives straight at the moment. Good Luck in your next car. Oh and dyparkes, you are certainly not alone in having bad experiences with dealers, I'm trying yet another one, to try and get things sorted, and can certainly see me going down the same path as CliffH.

Could somebody send me the TSB LA204-008V2 I don't really want to pay another £8 to tell the dealer where they need to look.
Thanks
