Your experience is the opposite of most - generally the computer shows more miles per gallon than that actually achieved.

I regularly see the trip computer being pessimistic by up to 5 mpg so you are not alone husseintdv6 D4 2014

Wow, am glad am not alone with a pessimistic trip computer, I am actually going to clean the map sensor this afternoon and see if it gets any better. I love my D3 way too much to have it sent to the on local LR inexperienced dealer. I wil do it myself and will post any improvements.

Hussein - It's not a difficult job at all (you need a torx head for a screwdriver) but don't stick anything hard down the hole and break the membrane.VIN: A175A328***

Cleaning the MAP sensor is easy, if I can do it a trained tortoise can. My MAP was cleaned few thousand ago, checked it recently and only a thin oil film had reappeared over that distance, EGRs blanked of course.

have an 07 Manual. regularly get 28/29 MPG from tank. actaul calculated brim to brim. Computer always reads anywhere between 31.5 & 32.5MPG. so would agree with guys above, computer always a bit higher. would definitely try and reset and see then if improves. even low 20's is bad for a manual, unless you ragging it!
