Glad you have it sorted - not sure how you get to £150 tho' (?).
New (colour coded = upgrade for most ) handle is £50 delivered and won't take any longer to fit than it does to clean the contacts on the original (?)

hi mik yeh i panicked a little at first and took it to a local landrover specialist told me 97.50 for new handle plus vat then an hour or two fitting at 45 an hour !!!!! thats when i joined this great forum and found i may be able to do it myself !! i did also find the new handle colour coded to my car that was my next move ..

Mine will open by keeping the lock/unlock dash buttons pressed (big to D3 members didnt know about that) only problem is you need someone to either open the tailgate or press the buttons. Anyway called dealer (Hatfields Liverpool) and have booked it in for repair. Best of all it is covered under warrenty
