Did you disable the SIM's PIN request?

Flack - this is a flashing red LED, I've had the solid red when running with the GSM unit only - as you say moving away sorts that out.
flydive - there's no PIN request, double checked with a phone handset.
Have had this working so very frustrating that the module is now playing up just as the blower controller is fitted 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Flashing led means that it can't find or lock on to a network doesn't it... Can you try another aerial on it ?.

Silly question but have you tried moving to another spot to see if you are in a dead spot with the GSM.

It's not the GSM signal, as I can take the SIM out and stick it in a phone there's and it shows full signal (and works). 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Hello everybody,
this is not "off topic" -
I have the famous red wire on my FBH and Iain kindly sent me a wiring diagram and schema for where the red wire ends up in the cabin.
Apparently its not easy to find - Passenger 'A' Post (somewhere???)
I have a LHD so I was wondering if anyone knows if connector C2412R is behind the kick plate in front of the bonnet lever?
Does anyone have access to Topix for a bit of research?
Thanks!

As your D3 is LHD you probably want to look for C2412L - which is located behind the bottom left of the glove box fuse box. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I've fixed this - don't quite know how though.
Swapped the SIM for one from another network (the other two were both O2 network, although two providers), and although not expecting anything to happen, I got a flashing green LED
Put the original SIM back in, and hey presto - flashing green LED again 8) 8)
So, don't know why it did it, but worth recording if anyone else ends up in the same situation. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Which is on the right hand side of my car . . .
Does anyone have pictures of how to strip out the glove box???
Thanks!

Correct
Have you dropped the lower glove box down to access the fuse box? 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Thanks Ceekay, Flack and Martin, with the green wire connected via switch to 12V would one be able to start the FBH independent of outside temp? Obviously the burn time would be affected by the outside temp, surely the original timer/remote setup could start the FBH independent of temp.
Slightly of the topic I have been studying the wire diagram of heated front seats any thoughts on how to get them heating without the hvac switches surely one can't just ad 12v to the heating elements? A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2
MY09EGR's blanked Thanks Bellautos, BAS
