If you got the loom did you not get a spare connector for the Fan controller, as mine was supplied with a separate connector.
The wires are Black,Brown,Red,Orange,Yellow,Green,Blue,Purple see my spare connector below

Will get my avo out in the morning and see if I can trace the orange wire as my car is still stripped down.

I need to use the car today so I have joined the two cut wires back together. I have left all the other wires connected but unplugged the GSM and fan
Now the heating controls and heated seats and screens are not working, could it be a fuse?
Outside temperature also is not working

I have just noticed a difference with my loom, I have got an orange wire at D. Tim(te) where is your orange wire?
Could it be that they have used an orange cable instead of yellow?
Can anybody check where the yellow wire and orange wire that are in the fan control box plug (A) go to and what order are they connected into the plug.
No orange wire in bundle D in the version I've got. If you see the installation manual where the bundle D connections are explained, orange wire connection is not mentioned (although it is listed in the picture showing the different parts of the loom). Did you by any chance take a picture of the wiring...
There are some more pictures of the installation exercise in my gallery. Numbering refers to Danhag manual.

check connectors 1, 2, 3, 4 to control unit. i managed to bend a pin ever so slightly once on removal. had similar effect. coulnt see the bend, but wobbling the connector made contact. so i bent the pins alittle more. now always makes good contact. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

All the pins were OK, I had blown the 10amp fuse 51 which is the feed to the A/C unit.
I have now removed all of the Danhag loom and put the car back to standard and all works as it should.
If I can workout how to do it I will try and post some photo's and I will attempt to contact Danhag on Monday

Tom (te) from Finland,
your pictures of the installastion was great, thanks a lot .
I have just received the goods after beeing stuck in the Norwegian customs for a while. I also realised that i was missing a connector in position 2 in the FBH plug, so I have ordered one from Martin.
Once plug received I will use your great pictures to do the installation.
But I was just wondering about your experience with system once everything is working....is there a problem with flattening the battery if used frequently? Do you have to recharge on a daily basis in cold periods?
Cheers, Geir

I have no problems with the battery.
I run the FBH for 30 min and the fans for 20.
After that car turn over without problems.
Also consider that after the pre warming the engine start easely, when I turn the ignition on the glow plug light goes off immediately.
Did not try a medium/long time parking, but according to to Danhag, the battery load of the kit in stand-by is low.
And if the battery charge is low the FBH will not start, so it will not drain the battery

Fairly short driving distances combined with cold weather...won't take any chances, so I have the CTEK charger connected a couple of times during the week. I've been told (as a rule of thumb) that if you run the FBH & fans 30 mins you should take at least 30 mins drive to charge the battery.

as flydrive says.
been running for over a week 40 mins, 10min blower delay. trip to work 20mins mostly motorway, i come home at midday and go back, 3 heats per day one before each trip, standard single battery.
put it on charge tonight, no measureable current, all seems good. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

My Wiring Loom
White/Red wire joined to Yellow
GSM Plug with Green/Blue/Orange joined together
Where the loom splits 4 ways. Yellow wire on its own is the wire going to the white/red. The yellow with the 2 red wires and 1 brown wire goes to the FBH
Bundle at D. RED BLACK PURPLE GREEN ORANGE BLUE BROWN
It looks like for some reason they have given you an orange wire instead of a yellow one your orange must be the yellow thats on my loom as all the other colors are there and there are seven wires .

At the fan plug are the yellow and orange in the right or wrong place, should the yellow be next to the green and the orange next to red.
On the GSM plug (and the spare plug lead) it is BK,BR,RED,OR,YE,GR,BL but on the fan controller plug it is BK,BR,RED,YE,OR,GR,BL,PL
Thank you Andrew
