IanNP,
Top stuff!! Thanks for taking the time to explain it all.
The bit about the voltage drop is interesting as the D3 has been struggling to start over the last few weeks - getting a new LR battery on Monday.
Thanks again

Ours has packed up, possibly due (if I understand it) due to starting the car a few times with the low fuel light on ???
I tried the removing the fuse trick but no joy, is there any other way to try a reset without a faultmate etc?
Cheers
Cliff
Low fuel won't cause lockout, as the ATCM (heater control) won't have sent the 'FBH - ON' command to the FBH...so what can I fiddle with today that ain't broken ...?

A duff battery causes a festival of warning lights and issues when you start the D3. I did't realise it was possible to have so many error warnings and orange lights on at once!..so what can I fiddle with today that ain't broken ...?

So mine isn't working but it used to so I guess its locked out.
From what I read here I cant reset it unless I have a Faultmate, live near a Wabasto engineer or go the Stealer themselves.
Is that correct ?
I'm in Bridport in Dorset, are there any Forum members nearby with a faultmate who could help me out ?
Searched Webasto web site and there doesn't seem to be an engineer in dorset !

based on the marvellous instructions in the FBH Remote Timer you just remove the power feed - try page 23

No luck on the FBH front. Had all the connectors off and Fuse 28 out etc
What is the little tube with right angled connector that doesn't seem to go anywhere ? Don't suppose its part of the FBH and should be plugged in somewhere ?
See piccy below....

I also notice on the control connector on mine there is already a wire in pin 2 - which is where the remote control/timer should be wired in to according to the above instructions !? My Disco is a 55 plate - wonder where that wire goes as if I were o implement the Timer mod I would have to disconnect it !?

Red wire already in pin 2 was for the early cars ...
The FBH could be operated from the radio. This function was removed so the wire is redundant now .
Just cut it off ( use the end thats already in the FBH to connect your new wire ) ...and tape up the other endG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
