Had mine fitted by Andy and his crew today
So far I'm impressed, but have only done @80 miles on dry roads so can't comment too much.
They are however quieter than the (very) worn scorps that came off, the car seams to turn in better and feels a bit more stable. (Although that may be due to other factors)
I'll get them muddy at the weekend, and if it rains I'll try hooning around on some wet grass to.

redjelly, I need to re-address my response..........Maybe I am expecting answers too quickly, and the need for a Winter Set is desperate.
I guess folks like me will be your guinea pig for now then mate. Keep watching. I will try to let you know how I get on. My need was despaerate too, and I ended up having to get a couple of part worns in my attempt to buy time til these came available. The fact is, I managed to get the new grabbers only 1 week after buying the part worns Needless to say, there's a pair of 6mm scorpions in the for sale section!
I just thought I'd try a couple of minutes on my 'neatly cut lawns' to see how they faired.D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)

I'm working on the principle that anything must be better than the scorps that came off, which could also have been illegal by the time my MOT is due.
I don't do any real offroading, just the odd green lane, towing the boat around on wet grass, launching on slimey slipways, and off course we may get more snow like earlier this year.
So now I know they are better on the road, in the dry at least, they just have to work as well in the other situations as the Bridgestone ATs I had on my Shogun before I brought the D3 earlier this year.

Seriously though, I don't think that you would be stressing the sidewall with the farmyard type work you describe - you will need traction and you'll give the tyres a good work out, but are unlikely to be flexing the sidewalls, running low pressures or rubbing up alongside rocks and other obstacles during off-road jaunts.
About an inch below the topsoil here, we have slate and loose stone, and in many places solid granite forms my farm tracks. As I mentioned before, the sharpness of this slate has seen off too many of my £180 each scorpions sidewalls in the recent past, but hardly even scuffed the AT2's. I can only tell you what I have experienced! Also, have you ever done Strata Florida? It's right in my back yard. I'm no stranger to working my tyres, or playing with them

Nasher, did you notice them to be lighter on the steering than the scorps as myself and Phat Face have found?D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)

I felt it more as the car turning in quicker which I suppose is the same thing in a way.
It certainly felt much nicer to drive, but my Scorps were really badly worn so it's difficult to compare too much.

By "lighter on the steering" does that mean the steering response with these tyres is more vague when cornering and the cornering grip on road is less than your previous tyres. To me, lighter steering is not a good sign or am I missing the point?

It could just be "new tyre syndrome".....I've always noticed that new tyres make the steering feeling lighter than the outgoing worn ones.... 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Hey RJ you cant do much off piste you have side steps
PaulP is right thou were AT2's struggle/fail is when you have to air down to increase the footprint the sidewalls just dont cut it
Normal GL, Slipways Roads the tyres will be fine however with green ice it can just be luck I seen the most aggressive tyres fail and someone with normal roadies drive calmly by I say Bring out the Quad

As I said before, this car has a family. The steps don't get in the way for most of what I do, but I am on my second set! Anyway, I am old (35) and with my bad back the steps are essential Is this a peeing competition now then - to see who gives their car the most abuse? "I'm the best off roader" ...... "no, I'm the best" .........

I'm all for that! I use the quad to pull the D3 out when it bogs down! Been places on my raptor that D3 could never go, but thats another discussion D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)
