great news for us peep's with 18's. was never big fan of tread pattern of the AT2, but quite like these. as Ken said above, something similar to the Pirelli ATR. be interesting to compare price of these two!

Any idea on launching date in Spain? Maybe you're coming soon for a paella with some At's...?
Waiting for more fresh news!

Hi Andy, I did read through the presentation and it lists the size I am after as being available in 2010 but I didn't read anything to suggest these tyres would be available straight away.

There will be about four sizes that will be safe in AT2, but sorry to say the sizes for me that sell very well are going.
I hope to buy as much as I can to tide my customers over and would recommend buying five tyres to cover things.
The two sizes which matter to D3 owners IMHO is 265/65x17 and 255/60x18, I think things are OK for a while but I am sorry to say I have no control over the finish date, puts me in a very differcult possition.
For us the General AT2 tyres have been a fantastic tyre with so many different sizes to suit most 4x4's, it's a great shame.
Picture this; Sell four tyres to a customer on say a Friday, he goes out to play over the weekend, knackers a tyre, problem for him and me.

Andy, first off, thanks for all your help and info on this stuff, but can you clarify if the 18" Grabber AT2 in this size is to be discontinued in the future or not?

I am being told this will take upto two years to phase them out.
Stock of AT2 is safe at present.

Cheers,
But from your comments it seems clear that the "old favourite" AT2 that so many of us have fitted to the D3 is going to eventually stop being supplied
That's a shame as I don't think I would replace them (theoretically speaking as I now run MT/Rs anyway) with the new AT as it's still (although seemingly an excellent tyre) a little bit too road-biased 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue
