I'd like to know more about them as well. The most information that I can find is the speil from General by following the link fromm the AJS website.

Well, I've only done around 60 miles on tarmac with them, including a 40 mile motorway run last night. In terms of road use I am quite happy, low noise and good road holding. They are noticeably lighter on the steering than the Scorpions, although some of that may be down to the difference between new and worn tyres.
I can't compare with AT2's as I've never experienced them. I had BFG AT's on the previous D2 which are no real comparison as they are much more aggressive in terms of tread type and construction. However, I believe that the AT is a very good comprimise. They are very much marketed towards the road user with occassional off road use, so fit my needs exactly.
Sorry that I can't give feedback on off road use, will try to do better in the future. Lloyd "Phat Face"

Andy
See you tomorrow afternoon for mine to be fitted.
Being quite a way from you I'll be able to compare the road manners if nothing else straight away.

Will be nice to see you Nasher.
I love the "quite a way from you" bit as yesterday we had a forum member down from Sheffield for two sets.
Better put the kettle on then.

If I'm not mistaken, the Grabber AT2 also has 2 ply polyester sidewalls too
BFG T/As and MT/Rs both have 3 ply sidewalls.
I'm not saying that this means the new ATs are as weak as the AT2s as I'm sure quite a few other A/T style tyres only have 2 ply sidewalls, but it doesn't confirm that they are any stronger either 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Just got a set on mine today, and have tested them a bit. I love them. They are just what all the 19" disco owners have been waiting for IMO.
They look good, they are SUPER quiet, (compared to running both AT2 and Scorp zero previously), they are great off road too. I took them around my farm to a few places I've been before with both the scorpions and the AT2's, and they did equally well, if not BETTER. Have to agree with Phat Face, they are lighter on the steering. I've taken them up and down steep wet grassy slopes, on gravel, on slate, and even a bit of mud. I took some piccys for y'all to see. Even when they filled up with mud, they cleared very very quickly, and all the mud was gone, and tyres were clean again before I hit 10mph.
Did some higher speed driving on the wet fields too, the sideways traction was good, stopping on the wet grass was excellent, and you can see in one of my pictures how steep some of my fields are by looking at the trees and the fact that the weight of the car is all on the back, and it pulled away from that position (wet) with zero slippage.
Overall, MEGA impressed with them. Just what the doctor ordered. Everything the AT2 was and is, plus massive improvement on road.

Hill start on wet grass. Faultless. You can see the trees are vertical, just to show I'm not holding the phone wonky!D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)
