Hi Wiggs, The Large One or anyone who can help,
I have tried for quite some time now to get this disc in order to fix the can bootloader issue on my 05 Disco3, but so far without success. Even the local official LR dealer do not seem to be able to help. Anyway I would be extremely grateful if either one of you would send me the link to the ISO file so I can get my NAV back. Thanks,
Lrviking

Hi Wiggs
I have also got the dreaded bootloader problem as well. I would be most grateful if you could PM me the link. I have had this problem for more than a year with no resolution at all, even from the Dealer here in New Zealand.

Wiggs,
Could you PM me the link to the HLDF CAN Bootloader software fix. I brought the car into the local dealer and they were unable to fix the problem. They also said they didn't have the YIA-500010 disk.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Wiggs, I burnt the ISO onto a DVD at 4x. I turned the key to position 1 and ejected the disc that was in the nav and replaced it with the burnt ISO.
Everything seemed fine, the image on the navigation displayed a progress bar. About 60% through (35-40 minutes) the nav screen displayed the dreaded HLDF CAN Bootloader message again.
Is this normal? I tried putting the original disc back in and it appears that I am right where I began, any advice?

How's your battery ? If it's low it could have stopped the DVD player
Pop a battery charger on it and try again .. It should get to 100%
Maybe burn the image at x2 speed G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Wiggs,
For my second attempt I kept the car running while updating the firmware. It worked perfectly! (Took about 40-50 minutes).
I do find it odd that software for these cars can become corrupted with out any external factors.
I also wonder if this updated fixed the 2005 Range Rover + iPhone pairing issue?
Thanks again.

burn the ISO file to a dvd disk slowley
turn ignition to POSITION 1 in the car
remove the sat nav disk from under passenger seat
put in newley burnt disk
watch the nav screen ...you should see a progress bar
its going to take 45 mins ...i suggest you connect a battery charger to the car while its updating
when the disk is finished remove and put back in the nav disk

I stumbled upon this site from a Google Query regarding this same issue.
Would be most gratuitous to have a fix, having a huge difficulty finding a dealer that can supply the HDLF disc...Struggle
