Hi Wiggs,
Sorry for the delayed feedback but the new module worked a treat - many thanks! Old module and torx bit were posted back on 30th March so I presume you have them now.
Thanks
Angus Still missing the old Disco 1 V8...

Hi Wiggs,
I've been following this thread with interest but not able to sift my info requirements from the 14 pages ! My 2005 D3 HSE pairs with 2121 and I can get it to pair with my iPhone 3GS but...........no phone book, no 're-pair', no voice ? ( I can hear the other party but they cannot hear me). The mic is working (can get the nav controls and phone dial responses).
Two questions therefore:
1. Is the upgrade still available ??
2. Will it fix my issues ??
Regards
Steve

Hi Adrian,
Unit arrived safely so will fit tonight and get the 'old' back to you as soon as I can. Do I need to disconnect the battery before changing ??

Hi Adrian,
All in and working as per expectation and the unit is on it's way back to you today. Many thanks for a quick and efficient service
The bluetooth upgrade does put the phonebook on the radio and info centre display and it has cured the pairing problems but the mic problem persists.
It's really strange, I can use voice commands OK inc things like navigation and notepad - these work very well so I presume this means the mic is working but - when using the bluetooth connection, the other party can be heard but they cannot hear me.
Any ideas ?? Yours frustratingly...........
Steve

On the iphone ...well on later software ...you cant adjust the bluetooth volume via the 2 side buttons .
When on a bluetooth call ..on iphone go to
settings, sounds , then adjust the volume there ...you should see a pop up saying bluetooth volume G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

No popup or other setting for phone volume
Checked Blackberry and no go with that either.
But ................. voice recognition still working
Is it possible that there is more than one routing for the microphone ?? Is there more than one microphone ??

There should only be one mic ....but if you pull down the light cluster at the front ..the mic sits behind the little grill.
The mic wires go to the nav unit and the radio ( there split on the way down ) G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Ahh - so presumably the nav wire would be the voice recognition input and the radio wire the telephone ??
