New module fitted - very straightforward job. I am now getting the phonebook over bluetooth, thanks. My iphone is still not connecting automatically, am I missing something? I paired it the first time (2121) but every time I get into the car I still need to go into the phone settings and connect manually. I now don't need to enter the code every time (it stays paired) but it's still a pain. I've tried it with a couple of iphones (3G and 3GS) and it acts the same way. Have I missed out a step? All thoughts gratefully received. Thanks.

very strange .
I check the phone book , make a call , then lock the car up and when its gone to sleep unlock it and make sure it automatically repairs before sending .
go into your settings , general , bluetooth , then select the blue arrow on the right and click forget this device .
Let the car go to sleep and re pair ..see if it cures the problem
I test them with an iphone 4 ...if its still not right i will send you out another G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi
yes tried this with a couple of phones but it's still acting the same way and doesn't automatically reconnect. If you have a different module to try I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi again
just tried with an iphone 4. Paired it, then turned the phone completely off and on again with the car running. It didn't connect automatically. Is this a valid test?
Cheers

It wont connect if you turn the phone off ....its not designed to do that .
Auto pairing is only when you leave the car while the bluetooth is on your phone ...when you return and unlock the the car ..it will auto re-pair ( as long as you havent turned the bluetooth off )
By turning the phone off ( or even bluetooth off ) you have disconnected the connection ...so it will be still paired as such ...but not connected
Even if i was sat in the car with it paired and then switched the bluetooth off / on ..it would not automatically connect to the car G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I am also interested in this. My BB Torch no longer syncs with my 08 RRS after the phone updated software. Connection always fails now, and its driving me nuts. Any pricing on shipping to Canada?

Hi Wiggs,
just ordered after having awful trouble pairing a whole host of phones to my 2005 HSE D3. The vehicle has the old factory fitted bluetooth kit and tbh has only ever worked properly with old phones. My BBerry 9300 Curve sort of connects but disconnects regularly and having to re-pair the phone is getting a bit annoying.
Looking forward to this fixing it !!
Edit ARghhhhhh!! just seen your line about the aftermarket kit i.e. the gear that pairs with 0000.......
That'll be mine so I guess this won't work for me then....
Could you organise a refund through paypal and sorry for the inconvenience
