Hi Chalky

For standard xenons then these in 5000k

http://www.hids4u.co.uk/501-led-bulb-long-...white.html

They will be a bit whiter as the standard xenons are yellowish. But 5k has no boy racer blue. You could try the warm white colour - these are light brighter halogens and dont make the xenons look so yellow.

Boot light the 12 led module - again i go for warm white but some prefer cool white

Well, after reading this thread (and noticing one of my side lights had gone) i decided to bite-the-bullet and upgrade to the LEDs from HIDS4U. Piccys below.....think they look great!

Before (standard LR spec):

Now (with Extreme Power 2W 6000k LEDs):

I also decided to buy the 4000K replacement bulbs for the 2-off map lights in the cabin (inc a 3000K 30 LED for the centre light), and a 3000K 12 LED light for the boot space. They are a doddle to fit, and look fantastic! So much better than the originals (pics to follow). Thanks to HIDS4U for such great service and speedy delivery Very Happy

Deciding which other bulbs to swap-out next Whistle

As an update to my previous post.....got in the Disco this morning and cant believe how bright the new centre 30-LED light is.....its SOOOOO much better than the original (even if it does look like a football stadium light).

If i have all 3 front roof lights on at once i need my shades Mr. Green

Update to my post:

I've settled on a 12 LED package for the middle row domelight. The 30 LED package is simply too bright for back there. The 13Long LED bulb replacement does well back there too.

If you want the definition of bright... I replaced the single 10W festoon candle in the cargo bay of my VW T5 with a TWIN 30 LED package. It's like having mains lighting back there! Shocked

Lollipop Lady stopped me today to tell me my NR side light is out .........so time to upgrade.

In trawling through the 21 pages Shocked of this thread I can't find many references to a reversing light upgrade.
My reversing camera isn't great in the dark so would a reversing light upgrade help out with this??

Any ideas???

some links for the products to save you all looking

sidelights, number plate lights, and interior lights, http://www.hids4u.co.uk/501-led-bulb-long-...white.html

Go for 5000 for normal xenons and number plate lights. Interior go for warm white

led modules for the interior lights, 30 led for front centre, 12 led for boot and puddle lights
http://www.hids4u.co.uk/LED-Ultra-Bright-S...dules.html

i prefer warm white for these but some like the cooler whiter look - either way they are very bright and you can see what you are doing

Hi Ian,
I have just fitted some 12 LED panels in my D4, very good too! I will get some of the long 13 LEDs when they come back in stock in warm white.

I have a question for you though. I have also fitted some 30 and 25 LED panels to my previously woefully lit Vito van, the bright white panels in the rear have a single LED lit even when turned off, the warn white one in the front doesn't though.
Do you have any ideas as to what iI could do to stop this?

Regards

Alex

Just fitted my side light bulbs today - well impressed! Matches the Bi Xeons so much better. I went for the 5000k and pleased I did.

So I've now ordered the 12 LED ones to replace my puddle lights.

So pleased I found this site as I used to have spare money - not anymore!

Regards
Graham
