Are you getting more of the cool white sidelight bulbs in stock soon? Are the warm white ones too yellow to match with xenon headlamps or would they be OK?
Cheers, David
sorry all for going quiet been travelling
Yes we will have them back in stock in about 10 days. I really recommend the 13led ones over the 5 led ones

The warm white ones are a pretty good match to the standard xenons - a little bit less white but so much brighetr and closer than the halogens

These D2S upgrade lamps. Are they suitable for a D3 hse 2006 with tge turning headlights. I believe they are called adaptive?
Cheers Ceekay
Yes these bulbs are standard fittings for all land rovers with D2S - adaptive and none. Only the later sport has the d1s but the d3 always had d2s.
I will post more pictures tomorrow or at the weekend, my cars are guniee pigs - i have 6000k and a philips ultrablue in the sport, and a cool blue intense and a standard bulb in the d3 so i will try to do all 4 side by side - plus the new 13 led bulbs 6k and i think 5k - just not enough hours in the day...

Ian,
Just received my bulb upgrade today from HIDS4U which consisted of x 2 D2S brilliant white 5000k HID upgrade bulbs from the standard HID's - x 2 super bright 360 degree 5 LED bulbs to replace the standard side lights and x 2 H11 55w extreme white xenon fog lamp bulbs to replace the obvious.
Tonight I fitted the sidelights and HID's - my verdict is no change with the HID upgrade which is very disappointing after spending £56 upgrading them in a vain attempt to match the LED sidelights, I was hoping they would give off a clean brilliant white beam but instead they are still looking quite yellow compared to the LED's?
At first when I switched the H/lamps on I thought amazing...!! ultra white light! but as soon as they got some heat through them they deteriorated and became more yellow - anyone know why this is or what causes it?
Tomorrow I plan to replace one of the HID's with an original to get a proper comparison - I'll also be fitting the fog upgrade bulbs and hope they look the business - I know the LED fog upgrade was an option for these but I still wanted use of the fogs. I am also aware the these are halogen so not expecting too much of them - the biggy for me is the HID's... They put a damper on my night after having high hopes of seeing a big difference in the front end... No idea where to go from here as I don't want to start buying more HID's as trial and error - anyone give me advice on what to do next?
Many thanks
Jim

Hi Jim
Thanks for the feedback
The 5000k bulbs will never match the leds as the leds are 6-6500k.
the 6000k bulbs are much closer but even then the leds are a tad bluer white but much much closer than the oem 4100k bulbs
The 5000k bulbs give the same colour as the branded colour match, and philips ultrablue - and at 56 pounds they cost much less for a pair than one of the branded bulbs - for the same performance in the light level tests i have done and colour appearance against the wall/road
I suggest you return the bulbs and get them swapped for 6000k. i have 6000k installed in my sport and will go take some pictures of this and post later. i also have the 13led bulbs in which have no blue so there is almost a perfect match
6000k of course gives a great whiter look but at the cost of a bit of redution in light output. oddly enough in dry conditions the whiter light is nicer to drive with and feels like more output - but when it gets wet and really dark the 4 or 5000k perform better.
i used to run 6000k in summer and 5000k in winter. i have now found that the osram cool blue intense work best in both conditions.
the philips ultrablue have the looks from a distance of 6 or even 8000k due to a blue coat around the edges - yet the light output is more like 5000k so some people will like this option
depends on your budget and taste as with most things.
i could offer chinese bulbs at 25 pounds but you might as well drive with your lights off in the dark less than 1/3 of the output of standard and even worse the light is not spread out
there thats enough ranting for first thing on a saturday
i do have a pair of ex demo philips d2s bulbs extreme blue going on sale in a week or 2 when i am back in uk. 130 pounds for the pair - they have been used just for a few hours. PM me if anyone is interested

Ian,
Many thanks for the detailed reply - I will remove them today, send back in their original packaging and go for the 6000's!
Can you advise me what I'll need to upgrade the interior roof lighting to LED (inc boot) not fussed about footwell and puddle lights just now... oh and number plate LED's, changed the tail lights to the new D4's and overlooked the rear number plate .
I will call Monday to advise of the returning 5000 HID's in exchange for the 6000's and place an order for the interior LED's based on your reply... Just a thought - will the interior LED' give off a blue white or just white? I think I'd prefer the latter
Thanks again Ian

Hi Ian,
Just bought a pair yesterday and tried fitting today - unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering 5000k's, put them in and they look warm white next to my osram cool blue hids! I'm going to have to return these tomorrow in exchange for 6000k's
They look the business though and really looking forward to seeing them fitted

Thanks in advance Ian - I just ordered a pair sent to Norway
I've tried similar looking LEDS before from 2 different manufactures, and none have worked (no light at all), so I'm really looking forward to this as the normal Osrams look weird along with the Xenons IMO.

I upgraded my interior bulbs with a combination of LED packages from HIDS4U last night. Firstly, brilliant service which is only outshone by the products themselves
I wanted "warm white" LEDs so this narrowed my options a little, but I've started with:
30LED square package in both dome lights. Incredibly bright. Probably a bit too bright for the kids in the back. It's like having football stadium floodlights in your car.
13Long LED bulbs in 2 of the maplights. Very, very good but probably too bright if the missus needs to sort some directions out for me while I'm driving in the dark. We'll give that a go over the next few weeks
Extreme Reds in the other 2 maplights. Not sure about those. The intent is that one red LED in the back will be useful for when the kids need extricating whilst asleep - that's assuming that the 30LED floodlights haven't shocked them into consciousness!
12LED packages in each of the puddle, footwell and bootlight fittings. A nice snug fit under the connector and brilliant. Just right! The difference under the doors and in the boot is significant. The fittings don't have reflectors so the flat strips are ideal and they give a long, flat, even illumination rather than a point source (rather like comparing a GLS bulb to a fluorescent tube). It could be argued that the footwell lights aren't needed when the 30LED dome lights have such a strong influence, but what the hell!
The 12LEDs are a bit too long for the passenger 6/7 light fittings so I'm going to wait and see if the 13Longs work well in the maplights and then either move them or buy some 10LED packages.
Overall, very impressed Club missing my D3
