I have a 2009 gs manual. I'm looking for a company local to Bristol or bath to do a remap when I delete the egr valves?.
As you guessed my Amber EML is on.
Many thanks denzil
Called these guys Avon tunning In north Bristol.
They quoted me £240 egr delete and eml off.
Or egr delete and remap to 220hp with better fuel economy.

Just had similar work done to my 59 Plate D3, GS manual.
EGRs turned off, EML off and an Eco Tune. £252.
Performance, especially fuel consumption, seems good so far. Above 2000 rpm outstanding performance. Up to 2000 rpm much better than with faulty EGRs but jury still out as to whether it is as good as it was with fully functioning EGRs.

Hi all, is it true as ive been told, that certain years of D3 can't have the egr values blanked ? ?
Mine is a 57plate 2.7 hse and ive been told that mine can't be done ! WELL not without causing all sorts of problems with the engine managment system etc. is this true ? ?
Cheers

It's true that the EGRs can't just be blanked on the EU4 engines in the same way as the EU3, as it will put the engine management light on.
However, Bell Auto Services have a remap that basically turns the EGRs off, or you can buy EGR emulators from over here in Oz.
Some what you have been told is right, you just need to talk to the right people to get around it. There has been a couple of recent threads on the subject, and a lot of info in the thread above

One of my egr valves has been diagnosed as faulty
I have a 08, 57 plate
Anyone in the Chester area I might be able to contact for the electrical jiggery pokery
I could fit the blanks myself now but MOT in June so would have to get rid of any risk regarding warning lights appearing
But just to confirm, I can fit the blanks, with no other effect than warning light, but would need to get rid of this.Do I need to purchase the mentioned emulators and if so where from?? There is no I in team, but there are five in Individual Brilliance
Disco gone, emigrated to a VW Amarok

So, you can fit the blanks and in most cases, the only issue is the EML. But some cars go straight into limp home mode. Seems no rhyme nor reason why TBH.
Oh and you don't need emulators anymore, just a software update to do the same thing once you've blanked them and removed the centre butterfly valve. Bodsys Brake Bible

Hello Folks,
Had my 57 EU4 XS auto de valved 4 months ago by Graywalls in Abridge, Essex. No more black smoke and goes like a rocket and went threw the MOT no problem. Money well spent.
