It's not good etiquette to wash your smalls in public when things go wrong particularly with any company let alone one that has a good reputation like BBS unless you have been met by a refusal or lack of co-operation which you may now get, I can understand your frustration, I know I've experienced it and in my case the issue was resolved to my great satisfaction without having to make any demands, public or othwise.

Going to do this mod to mine as well.
My wheel is horrible.

Been offered a D4 MY12 heated flappy paddle wheel and flappy paddle module from a mate.

Would like the Bluetooth to work as well so need to order that system as my early HSE doesn't have it.

I need a different clock spring. Do I need more modules to get it all working properly?

A D4 paddle module will not work on a D3, you need the BBS conversion.

Ok.

So that's AC031 steering wheel conversion kit then I take?
I'll guess that AC032 and AC034 are also needed?

So I went ahead and got a 2013 RRS steering wheel with all the options (heat, paddles, phone), bits and pieces from colin on the way from Cyprus, now I am left with sourcing a clockspring to take care of the heated part, anyone that can confirm lr 018556 will do the trick on a D3.

Thanks

Everything running smooth, just curious about the heat switch, thought i read somewhere that it goes red when engaged, mine stays green when the heat is on, anyone that can confirm how it is ment to be Smile

For those of you that might run into compatibility problems with the new D4/RRS heated steering wheel ECU module, I have devised a solution for my long lasting problem.

I must stress I have tried all other options, including, buying the module new/old, making my own ECU, buying many different Steering Wheels, and leading to the same issue!

I agree, it is not CLEAN, however it just works, and my hands are warm in cold days.

Are these kits still available? They do not seem to be on the BBS website currently.

I am surprised if they aren't as Collin at BBS whent to a tremendous amount of effort and cost to produce them, look under accessories, extras or auxhilaries.
I must say mine are still working very well and I have had no problems with them at all once fitted.

I have a set that may be for sale soon, although they may come with a D3 on connected to them Laughing

I was wonder if you could have a heated steering wheel on a D3. And now I know you can! Smile

Something Id like to get sorted pretty soon as my 172k steering wheel is looking well past its best.

Could anyone point me in the direction of where I can buy a wheel and parts required. Seen lots of links on here but with 43odd pages Iā€™m getting a little confused as to which parts I need from wheee.

Thanks
Chris
