Colin maybe I am being over cautious but the instructions do not show the installation of the transmit module for the tiptronic installed in the steering wheel could you post a picture of it installed in the correct orientation

Hiya Wildrover
I have got a bit sidetracked from updating the installation guide with more pictures.
I will get back on this ASAP
But TBH it's really dead obvious where the Transmitter fits as it can only be fitted in one of two orientations and in the wrong place, clearly will not fit into the switch plastics.
Also dead obvious is that there is an appropriately shaped abscence of the main ground plain flood screen that would lie directly beneath the Transmitter PCB, in effect creating a non mettalic hole for it.

Colin the pennies dropped after disassembling the switch pack again as you say its obvious. But for us who dont play with this stuff regularly and are concerned with f---ing it up tread lightly is usually the best approach.
As others have said well made all to be fitted tomorrow
if you need a few pics I will put them in my gallery

The Transmitter and Receiver pair for paddle shifting are priced at £104.14 (excl. VAT) which equates to £83.31 (excl. VAT) with discount.
Colin you and your Team are awesome Having met up with one of the other forum members on Friday evening he advised you had finally cracked it - I have been very busy with work lately and stopped in depth reading so had not realised the kit was available. Given the fantastic offer you have made to Forum members, I need to do some serious posting this weekend to ensure I meet the magic 50 to be eligible and order mine on Sunday
Thanks for the dogged perseverance with developing this solution. I use the flappy paddle functionality every time I drive my commuter Audi, so I can't wait to install it in myD3

@Wildrover
No worries, glad to hear the penny finally dropped, guess you must have been having a Blonde Moment
Thank you for your kind comment on how well made they are. For sure there was a lot of work involved in getting the positioning and size right for just one of the many holes.
The tolerances are so tight, i could not use a regular board house and had to go to a more precise manufacturing company.
Anyhow I hope all goes well for you and thank you for your picture supply offer, however i have already taken the pictures i need, I just need to find the time to add them now
@J12Engineering
Thank you for your kind comments of appreciation of my and my teams efforts. As this thread details, It has certainly taken a lot of time, money and effort to get to this stage.
So your comments are especially welcome and appreciated.
I note that you are some way short of the >50 Post count and intend to try and do some catching up before the offer ends almost 24 hours from now.
However I would ask you or anyone in this situation, to not flood the forum with pointless posts to bump up their post count, as it is far more the spirit of being an established member that the eligability critera i set are for, rather than the actual figures.
So I would rather anyone PM me for consideration.
In your case you have been a regular poster for over a year with over half the requisite posts, so meet the intended spirit and i have already PM'd you to inform you that i will happily grant you the full discount

First of all I would like to thank you Colin and the team for persevering with this project and making it possible,I would imagine there must of been times when you could of quite easily chucked the towel in on this,so hats off to you and the team Colin for making this happen
Secondly
Them boards are a work of art and fit absolutely spot on
So today I replace my old plastic steering wheel for a nice new D4 heated wheel 8) it gets very toasty at 32deg well that's what my infrared gun come back with it
So overall a great mod to be done to your D3 and as well as nice warm hands at winter time it also gives an updated look to the interior
Thanks again
