I had the plug problem, changed pads and sensors and after loads of faffing about with another new sensor the plug wasn't going all the way in had to push it really hard the. It eventually went in, prob sorted

Thanks, guys!
I tried to short the front sensor (using old sensor) but with no result.
I'll go back and push the contacts again ... (wheels off etc etc etc) Agree, the male plugs are really short!
Did anybody manage to break the "inner" wiring loom, from the contact and in, while disconnecting the old sensors?

Sorted!
Problem was not the connection itself but the male connector on the new sensor.
Wires were loose and simply fell out of the contact sleeve when I tried to adjust the cable and push the connectors together.
Since both wires were broken off, I had to take the male connector from the old sensor (with a small length of the wire) and splice with the wires on the new sensor cable.
By doing this I also got a slightly longer sensor cable and it was easier to fit.
