I think the rails were only standard fitment on some UK spec HSEs....
They're certainly not factory fit in most cases. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

I would like to have Quest Expedition Roof Rack (sunroof + glass roof + aerial),
cross-bars and prospeed ladder.
Do you still offer Group buys for them?

Folks, just ordered a D4 and am pi$%ing about deciding if I want to get the Landmark-like black long rails fitted but started to look at them and wondered if I would be best getting short rails and saving up/join in on next group buy for a Prospeed.
First question: how much height does it add to the D4? I am thinking multi-story car parks and the G4 I have (with Expo and lights and signs etc.) comes in at 2.2 (2.15 ish) locked in access mode.
Second question: The D4 will have the standard (Hi-Line Audio so same as XS) spec phone PTI kit and it will also come with sat-nav and DAB. It will not have a sun roof. Will this mean is has a fin? Is so do I need to buy the "glass roof + PTI" rack or will the standard rack be ok (saving me £150 in the process). I would like the composite floor which seems only to be available with the standard rack.
Third point, not really a question, it seems to need the standard short rails so I will change my order to have those instead, just in case I end up buying one.
Finally just need to work out when I know which rack what the damage will be - going to need a ladder too and the Prospeed one looks fantastic.
Thanks

I don't know the exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure that my D3 + Prospeed Rack is no higher than it was with just the LR cross bars fitted.
The Prospeed cross bars integrate well with the rack and probably add just another 3mm to the overall height of the rack alone.
My D3 has a PTI fin, but no sunroof. I ordered the standard rack and the front/rear composite floors.
There is a raised rectangular section at the back of the rear composite floor that you should carefully cut out (I used an angle grinder ) which will then allow clearance for the PTI fin (which sticks through about 10mm).
The standard rack and flooring will fit whether you have the PTI fin or not (although you may need to modify as mentioned above).
I would say that the height of the Prospeed rack is much lower than the standard LR Expo rack that would have been fitted to your G4 (ignoring the lamps etc).
I've never had a problem getting into indoor parking here (even those marked 2.1m) locked in access height (I also run shortened height rods with raise all heights by around 30mm), although I often have stuff strapped on the roof and have to remember if I still have them before going in.
The rack is fairly expensive, but not that bad considering what even a second-hand LR expo rack costs. The build quality is frankly superb, wind noise almost negligible (for a roof rack).
Cheers,

Hi guys,
Both racks (the standard one and the glass roof version) increase the height of the car by just less than 8cm, measured from the top of the standard short length roof rails.
As Paul says, if you don't have a glass roof you need the standard rack, the rear floor can then be cut to accommodate for a PTI fin.
ProSpeed Discovery 3 & 4 standard rack - £675
Composite floors - £105
Cross bars - £105
(all include VAT)
Sven, our sill guards (rock sliders) are not available yet, we are waiting on some new tooling but hope to have them in production soon. When they are I will let you know a shipping cost.
Cheers,
Ben

Thanks all for the responses, looks ideal to be honest - and at 1.9m will fit in all the car parks I go in
Just need to get confirmation from the dealer of the exact spec and get the order for roof rails changed and then hopefully by the time my D4 rocks up I will have saved up a few extra bob for the rack.
Cheers

Hi Ben,
Do you/can you fabricate mounting brackets to mount a fox wing awning.
I believe Ent (lee) may have had a conversation with you about this? "you cannot teach stupid people to do clever things"

Hi discocuzzy,
Yes we do brackets for the Fox WIng Awning, have a look in our gallery. You need either our standard cross bars or eXpedition Rack System (XRS) bars to attach them.
They are also adjustable so that you can attach the awning with a number of different sized roof tents.
