I am not one for the technicalities of the extra HP/Torque/Consumption, but more for the "feel" in real life conditions. And boy, let me tell you 
As my wife drives the D3 daily (school run), she will be the judge of the TT. After Saturday's TT upload, SWAMBO never drove untill Sunday morning, while I was attending the Top Gear festival, she left home for some shopping at 9 am and at 9h15 I got the follwing SMS......."The best R4k EVER spent!"
Needless to say 2007 TDV6 SE auto (ex Write off)

Hi Baben.
I have had my offroad nav unlocked (2007 V8 SE) but the compass option is not available. Is this a problem you have encountered?

it will work but you need the right buttons pressed
i.e from memory it needs to be in off road nav then back to 4x4 info then try it

Geoff is correct - you need to hit the nav hard key twice, select offroad nav, then go back to 4x4, and the compass will work. Strange but true.
The guy who enabled your 4x4 shoulda told you that
