the problem with the spray on mud was that it was crap mud, i was thinking of going down the M&S ad route
"these aren't just any brambles,,,,these are organic cornish free range brambles etc etc...."
or for the wine buffs, "2008 vintage royal duchy brambles, leaving a particularly deep and tasteful rash etc etc

Nah thinking about it they don't want em to appear scratched, after all why would they be so enthusiastic about 360 degree camera visibility fitted to your car unless your afraid of scratching it? Well unless you wanna watch yourself on your dash board as you drive down the M1.
Maybe that's Landrovers thinking,Boss: "make the inside of the car really posh"........Oink:- "but boss what if they get out in the mud to look at an obstacle wont it get messy?"...........................Boss:- "We'll give them cameras so they can see 360 degree of visibility then they never need to get out! our future owners want a Landrover experience not a muddy experience!................................Oink:- "Genius....BLING!"

If you don't like it, don't buy one - horses for courses, personally I want a large 4X4 beacuse I like the shape, style, feeling of safety, carrying capability ect, like a lot of people on this site, I would never use all it's capability, but it's my money and my choice, so Greenpaece can stick it where the sun don't shine
LR will still shift enough of them to keep going - I hope, and that's all that matters

I see what you mean about the grille CY, I thought it looked really good on the lighter colours but it really stands out as looking a bit cheap on the darker! (especially the black) I wonder how long it is before LR start offering a gun-metal grey grille instead? - might look a little more stylish?

Adam, for me you can buy what you want with your hard earned cash, unlike Landrovers D4 design team (Who incidently seem to be made up of Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen and Johnathan Ross)who seem to think every damn one of us want a tarts hand bag for their mode of transport, choice is a word they seem to have lost, you guys seem to be happy with diamante wing mirrors and spinners on your wheels, why not build a more acceptable one for all of us then you guys can accessorise after all that seems to be the choice on here.................or buy a Merc

In most of the world markets, the D3s (and now D4s) main competitor is the Toyota Landcruiser 200 series. This is a 'proper 4x4 and the product of choice for serious offroaders, the UN, NATO etc, and yet has a nicer interior than the D3 and fully colour coded exterior. To survive, the D4 needs to be competitive, hence the upgraded parts.
Face it, if you scratch the 'eyebrows', whatever colour they may be, chances are you'll scratch the body as well.
The 'pretty face' can be cured with an ARB winch/roo bar, Snorkel, Kaymar rear bar etc. If you really want, you can strip the paint from the parts you want black and repaint with pick-up bed liner.

DISCOVER 4 (Well almost, more like Disco 3.5 ...)
Hi gang
D4 reminded me of this D3 I shot at the 2006 SEMA show
some cues do look like the 2009 D3 / 2010 D4, don't they ?
too bad it is not really the ones we seek ans love in a D3 !
cheers
