Yep Pete, that's where my future hope now lies.
They might spec that something towards the D3??
Here's hoping. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Well I haven't looked at many of the interior pics yet, but overall, I think a
I like the front lights, I prefer the previous 'all clear' rear LED lights. Nice that they've put the clear side repeaters in.
I'm still not sure about the front grill, but i think I'll get used to it. I like the mock up with the black grill which I think gives it a different look.
The info screen is a bit BMW meets Audi like, but seems OK.
I'm assuming that the 'Valet' option is to enable the car to shut down to conserve battery power so when JKP comes to town, he doesn't have to carry his jump leads with him
So now I'll have a browse through all of the interior shots. Bodsys Brake Bible

You're not at all - my point was that it was much better than the 09MY which is the model it actually replaces. Let's not forget that we'd already lost all the clever styling tricks and brilliant design elements that made the original D3 the "squared jawed beauty" as James May once described it on Top Gear. 2005 D3 HSE

Ronp...................Thanks for that I thought I was in the wrong forum, with all this luv of Bling I thought I'd stumbled into drugdealers.com or Pimpmyride.com if god had meant a discovery to look like a tarts hand bag he would have had it built by Mercedes! By the way Ron I luv your LTZ's may opt for them when my ST finally give in 40K and still going strong, for the more fashion conscious amongst us do the do them in 20" ultra low profile???? after all it's all about looks over functionality............isn't it? Oh and Ken my wife knows what a hoover is and she doesn't drive Tallulah for the school run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

from what i have seen i like the new styling, i hope a little from both drop down the line into the FL2, especially the HD entertainment system
Still have to wait to car change time to have a proper think on what i need in a car, my FL2 seemed rather small bring the newborn back from hospital with the other child seat in the rear too, never mind the boot been full

Interior looks much better in black, wouldn't be so worried about getting that covered in mud, dog paws and school run mess. More functional and less cream luxury:
The exterior, which I think looks super (minus the grille which still needs to grow on me...), looks better in a darker colour, like black.
Looks like utilitarian meets executive there - which is what the D3 was always meant to be, no?
However I think the most important thing LR need to remember with the D4 is that they have 2 key markets - the road users and the off-road mob (like us motley crew). Even if we are in a significantly smaller proportion, it is why many people buy a LR. So the D4 looks super, but LR should throw together a couple of pictures that show the D4 with rubber mats, some Genuine Land Rover accessories and a black (or less flashy) grille - it's not a lot to ask to get the reassurance of the rest of their potential buyers and might just be enough to win over a hell of a lot of buyers who like it but still want to use it. 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

As someone else posted, I'd like to see the S or GS version. It looks lovely with all that mud-attracting leather and "wood", but what will the bread and butter version look like? No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

Slimer........................in response, the Defender is 400mm narrower than the D3 or 4 so contact with hedges etc is much less likely! and if you check out the difference between the arches you'll find the Defenders are deeper and considerably more flexible thus not BLING! My point is that if your car is pretty why would you put it in the ring with Tyson? again I'm not saying that the car doesn't look nice just that it's not needed in it's future wrapping, if you want bling buy a RRS or RR and get yourself a career as a footballer or a good supplier! and a load of kids on BMX's to distribute for you!!!
