You slave driver you
Have you finished testing all that new EAS stuff yet.
I thought you might like to see the demo / instruction overview video of the Flash File Load database we are finishing up actually in action. Lot better than the picture.
It shows how it is invoked from within our Vehicle Explorer software, how it can be used to filter to a particular vehicle system, then how you can set it to only list the software applicable to a single part number.
It also shows how to select one and how to pull up the info and comments box and finally, although grayed out, as it was demo mode, where you click to actually transfer the selected software.

Don't worry Roel
No internet connection needed to use our system, although obviously needed to download our periodic software updates and access our forums should you need any tech support.
Without going into loads of boring detail, you just "click the button" and enjoy our system working its magic, just like the others here already do.
If you have learned anything from the bits you have seen on the forum here it's that we make our stuff really simple, easy and capable and when you have one and use it, you too will wonder how something that seems like it would be complicated is made so easy peasy.
You have to remember that we have been doing this for years now. we have supplied, the very young, the very old, male female, those that don't speak a word of English, those who know absolutely nothing and those who are self proclaimed experts in all things.

No Roel, you won't be getting all the LR software updates on your Laptop.
I will not explain how it works, thats a trade secret, and very complicated, but what i can tell you is that our equipment will be able to reprogram all your vehicles systems to exactly the same as if you had it done by a dealer using their IDS and the very latest disk. Just that we do it a lot better, faster and a lot smarter is all.
i think what Roel means is where do the software updates actually come from. Do they need to be sourced from LR or do you supply them (albeit I guess with a time lag) with your periodic updates.
Or to put another way:
If I want to upgrade the LR software on a module on my car, and I had already bought a faultmate, where do I get the upgrade from.
Or have I misinterpreted you both?

Update ..testing EAS (electronic air suspension)
BBS SPY wrote:

Just a little update to show you Colins not been sat on his . He has added the air suspension features listed below . There is now live data , the ability to fire up the compressor (with or without the engine running ), raise and lower each corner on there own , or just the front / rear . Drop the whole car in one go and raise it aswell . I must add that the compressor gets quite hot when you have been playing for a while , and the front needs a bit more in the air tank to lift it . This is not any thing to do with the software , its just the fact that if you drop it right down and then try and lift it all back up there is obviously a lot of air involved .
Some pics ....
Running the compressor ...this can be run without the engine running. It is only set to run for a minute at a time because it gets hot very quickly
With this page you can manually adjust any corner of the air suspension. can raise and lower ,even drop it on its if you like
Inputs ..voltages and heights ...live data
Inputs ..status ...live data
Rear wheel on the bump stop
Rear wheel up high
All the car up high
Near side down ...off side up
Heres a video showing the difference with one side up and one down ..proberly easier to see than the pictures
Heres another video of the car being lowered on its bump stops ...note the door open and no engine running .
This video shows the front raising slowly , then I lift the rear wheel ..that goes a lot quicker and dosent have the weight of the engine. I also had the engine running to build up the compressor , but you dont have too .
Hope thats of use to someone ...i know i have had fun playing .
Thanks Colin and the staff at BBS for some more excellent tools G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Sturge, Roel
Everything is supplied by us within our system.

Not familiar with the term "alignment mode".
LR call it Geometry Setting Mode, special suspension setting that should be used whilst doing four wheel alignment. Judging by Wiggs post above your kit will do it if you can find out what the settings areThe End

Looking at the last screenshot there is a variable that says Control Tolerance State.
This looks like the one to put it into Geometry Setting Mode which uses much stricter tolerances on the height setting so that the 4 wheel alignment can be carried out more accurately whilst in normal height mode.
I'm sure I've seen it in GTR It's standard practice for all LR dealers to use this mode..... 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG
