epb screaming after test rolls
hello to all
as long as a month ago I took the discovery periodic inspection,
in the test rollers the inspector pulled the handbrake, the epb screamed and blocked!!
after a few attempts the brake unlocked
since then the brake has to scream when pulled, and i fell ths scream comes to the rigth disc and litle sound comes to the activator
do you think that adjustment solves the problem?
the LR dealer said probably needs an epb unit, how can i check epb unit it´s ok?
thanks
From what I understand, you might get away with adjustment only if the screaming has only just started - worth doing first - just follow Bodsy's bible
Mine was replaced under warranty after the dealer tried to adjust it and broke it Mark.

Hi,
1st post on here but i've been a Member on the RRSport forum for a while now. I am about the change the rear discs and pads on my 2007 TDV8 and just wanted to make 100% sure that the excellent instructions at the beginning of this thread will work OK for my car.
Many thanks in advance for your help..
Cheers,
J

Ian, I for you.
Your bible is a great piece of kit. Done pads and V8 discs on all corners and you made it an easy job. If anyone is up for a pads or discs change and you have the time, diy. Satisfaction guaranteed

Is that a strange way of doing this job? Jacking the car upside down always gives me the perfect working height CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS

I can't for-the-life-of-me get the "return spring" back on the new parking brake shoes that I've installed.
I've tried everything.
Here are two pictures. It's the left-rear wheel. The "return spring" is the spring at the top which is supposed to connect to both shoes.
It's about -9C outside and dropping, not to mention it's going to be dark in 1-hour. So any insight would be _GREATLY_ appreciated.

I replied on the other forum this is on Er1c,
You needed to have connected that big spring first. You'll never get it on without taking the other brake shoe off first now.Bodsys Brake Bible
It can be done with out removing the shoe but its difficult I have a tool thats y shaped and it levers the spring back in with both shoes in place but not easy ..as Bodsy said it easier to insert this spring on both shoes first then slot them back in place..
