It's most likely rust inside the drum you could try loosely putting the wheel on to give you a bit extra leverage.
If you have diagnostics you could also try putting the epb in mounting mode that will give you extra brake cable

Thanks for your reply.

The brake disk/hub moves freely for a couple of cm and then it feels like a solid stop (sounds like hitting metal on metal). I tried with the wheel on, but, as I said, it is a solid stop.

It could be the shoes stuck to the drum by rust they will move a few degrees until they hit the stop.
Try hitting the drum part of the disc with a hammer to release the shoes

I will try that. The car drives just fine, that's why I didn't take that in consideration.

Allen Key rounded

Hi all,

I've been unable to undo the allen key whilst adjusting the EPB due to it being rounded.
On and off it's been wanting re-adjusting, since I can't follow BOdsy's instructions to a T, given the 4mm Allen key head is rounded beyond saving. Mad
Though I've never taken the disc off as yet to fully service it.

The Disco has been thinking that the hand brake is on, even when it really is off and gives me a warning message on the cluster, which promptly goes away after a few yards on first start up.

Last weekend it got worse, I could clearly hear it rubbing.
Does anyone know what length the bolt screw is please ?

Worst case I can pick up a set of new shoes from BREMBO, cheap enough they are.
A couple of m5 bolts are free though and nothing beats free Wink
