So my average range is 560 miles on BP Ultimate - Esso Energy makes much less of a difference by the way (been testing this) - what would you get ?
Also at a rough guess you 'save' £11 per tank @ .90 litre so you'd have to do 56 tanks to pay for is... for me around 1yr
So do you do finance deals or cash on the nail when done
Merry Christmas by the way and look forward to seeing you again in the New Year !

So what is your average MPG say using BP Ultimate and running sensibly at around 70-75 on a long haul up the motorway - ie normal driving not foot down loving the power
Be good to know.

TC,
Quote:I run a disco3 personally and my partner a RR Sport both purchased with our own money...neither of us worries about being 'found out' because we know LR cant detect the upgrade.
But then you can de-tune it when ever you wish ? Even I dare say if the engine fails.. you would still be able to interrogate the ECU and make any changes...
Some people may run financed cars... does anyone know what the line os here ? As legally the car belongs to XYZ Loan Sharks ltd

Why de-tune anything? It cannot be detected so lets leave it there
Over 250 engines have been upgraded by us and we do not have any problems with any of them....we also deal with so many LR dealers now that even if and it's a very very very big 'if' we had a related issue we could get it sorted very easily and under warranty
My average economy is 28 mpg and never drops below 25 even if driven very hard Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!

What if somebody buys a used tuned D3, fails to tell insurers due to being unaware, etc? Who deals with any comeback?

How can they 'fail to tell' the insurers if they dont know......if the customer finds out and then chooses not to tell then thats a differenct story! Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!

Another "fish'n chips" question:
Regarding the lack of need to undo the tuning; if the performance is so different with the modification, how do you expect that technicians will not notice it when we take it in for service? Their job is to find irregularities, not just stare into monitors. Blue

So they drive your 'chipped' car and think "wow, this is fast?" and then they return to the service bay and connect to LR's diagnostic system and all the computer says is .."everything is ok".....thats the end of the matter....if you dont believe me come to London and I'll take you to the largest LR dealer in europe who'll confirm the above without question Money talks.Sex sells.Mud sticks.Time flys. happens.People talk.Impressions last!

Mitsubishi are offering this, so I can see less of a problem with upgrades now as all will want to do it.
The Power Upgrade Pack introduces an additional ECU (Electronic Control Unit) which 'piggy backs' the existing ECU on Mitsubishi's Euro III 2.5 litre, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The resulting engine management change produces an output increases of 114 bhp to 135 bhp for the Shogun Sport and 115 bhp to 138 bhp for L200s.
TC, think you should get in with LR right now.

I agree, Audi are doing it too, friend of mine just had his A4 chipped at the dealer, BMW of course offer the 'Works' conversion for the Cooper S - a bit more than chipping I admit, but still a factory tuning option.
