Any Jag engine from breakers are snapped up ( pardon the pun).
From my experience you have to also weigh up how much you will be able to relax using it after it goes once. The curse is just starting to show itself in D5s so the demand will increase .
There is the theory that the theft of D4s is being driven by the engine issues and being stolen just for the engine. The NFU have recently had some recovered minus an engine.
Which engines in the D5 are going? I'm thinking of a new D5 so have a vested interest.
As above both .
The 3l is the same engine as the D4 with the same issues although they will slowly show up as they get older . The 2l sadly is more immediate and going at lower mileages. Not the crank on this one though its Rings ! So much so that it is routine at service to cut the filter open to look for evidence.

If you make a pot to hang from the rear view mirror you can collect water for the garden. Just to add to its green credentials

I have no experience with the below (I mentioned them above) but I follow them on Instagram and they seem to rebuild all LR engines. Petrol, diesel. None seem bullet proof!
As Disco Mikey says, they seem to have a lot of the 2.0l in there!

Thanks so much for everyone’s help.
After speaking to numerous people I’ve decided to let the old boy go. I am gutted! It’s been a (semi) smooth journey up until this point.
I suggest you talk to Derek - DSL - who will advise you how to maximise the return you get for your D3.
Good luck.

Just had my 2016 Disco 4 Landmark dropped off today to QP Online, they start the work on Friday for a suspected snapped Crank shaft, I done a lot of research and they came out top of the bunch for my area (Kent) workshops seemed very well equipped and the owner seems very honest, knowledgable and proffesional, will let you know how it all goes in around 2 weeks time
