The circular button with the lug on is what you push/pull on to move them.
Genuinely, the temperature of the heated seat is my only complaint on the car. Everything else I love.
I initially didn't get on with the light steering and the thin wheel, but now (I use my D3 occasionally) I much prefer the D5.2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +

Had the rear seats been more akin to the luxury marque it purports to be and the hatch was split I’d more than likely have bought one last year as there’s no denying it’s a lovely drive and you really notice the lower weight against the D4.
That’s funny you should say that, it’s exactly how I wound up with a Full Fat! You even get to keep the D4’s driving position, low waistline and fantastic view out. The boot is rubbish after the D4, but I’m happy to use a box trailer, that dwarfs even the D4’s boot, when needs must 👍

I initially didn't get on with the light steering and the thin wheel, but now (I use my D3 occasionally) I much prefer the D5.
Ah, shame I couldn't get that to work then.
I actually didn't mind the lighter steering or the rim thickness, although I did notice the difference as soon as I got back in to my RRS. I liked the drive of the D5, I thought it went nicely, the steering was good, the brakes decent, the ride mostly excellent.
I loved the amount of storage built in to the centre console (the slide away cupholders, and the space behind the heating controls) and the deeper cooler cubby in the centre armrest. I wish I could have all of that in my RRS.
The infotainment system worked well, the sound system was badged as Meridian but I guess it was the bottom end version as it wasn't anything other than competent. Not bad, just not special.
I'm increasingly uncomfortable with the amount of stuff that has to be done by pressing icons on screens these days. That's all cars, not just LR's models. The DS I had recently had everything on the centre screen, even the heated seat controls. At least the D5 still used the temp dials to control those meaning they could be turned on without taking eyes from the road.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Coming from the RRS, the D5's boot is cavernous.
I stood looking at the boot thinking "I wish I could have that sized boot on my RRS". But without the silly folding down flap thingy.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

The boot on the Fatty is a bit rubbish in comparison to the D4, even if it is still brilliant in comparison to a generic estate car. The D5 sits somewhere between the Fatty and the D4. The biggest problem I’d have with the D5’s boot (in comparison to the Fatty or D4) is the stratospheric boot floor height, especially with an elderly collie that’s even struggling with a ramp, with the suspension as low as it’ll go on the lower Fatty boot 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

I've been a critic of the D5's looks since it was announced.
Fast forward to last weekend and SWMBO's Evoque's steering packed in and had to be taken to a dealer under her LR Assistance warranty (SO glad I paid the extra this year so that they sorted everything out....)
On Monday evening, Enterprise turned up with her courtesy car - black D5 HSE. She loves the look of it. Sadly, she's been so busy dealing with her organisation's Covid response that she's had no chance to drive it, and it probably goes back tomorrow when the Evo comes back.
I can see her angling for something akin to the D5 - and I have to admit that, up close and in black, it's far easier on the eye than I first thought.
But I still prefer my D4.

If it was only the looks then that wouldn't be sufficient to stop me getting one. I've had excellent, if ugly, cars before. It's the issues with the seats that kill it for me. There's lots to like about the vehicle, but if it isn't comfortable then it's just a simple non-starter.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Keep your old car (like I did with my D3) that way you can still cart the dogs and kids around in that. I'm the only one that ever goes in mine. Genuinely half thinking I should have got a commercial!2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +
