Are you feeling okay?
I really like my L405 and I was only making an observation about the oil change interval on the D5 after I’d heard so many times that it had been fixed. Besides, I was quite pleased to be passed the D5, rather than a DS. I’d never buy one, but the boots a lot bigger than the one in the DS. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

IIRC, RM drives c.45k miles pa in his FFRR. So it’s a regular visitor to the main dealer for routine servicing as well as the inevitable software updates etc.

I’m with you there The high point was getting a very late, high spec, Defender 110 for a few days Always wanted to try one!
Mind you, it could be worse than a DS; my original dealer used to have a limited supply of very nice FL2’s. But, if you didn’t turn up early enough, you’d get a sign written Fiesta “Roger Young (dis)Courtesy Car” 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Seen as the X7 has been mentioned a few times here I thought I’d stick the video here.

The DS is a fine car.

Don’t need to watch the video to know that it’s got too much collagen in its lips. Anyway it’s at a price point I am not prepared to pay. GLS is ok (ish) price wise after discount and looks good externally but the dash and tech are from a past lifetime. Trouble is will the new one ruin the outside and stop me considering one?
It’s like 2016/17 all again. Shame LR did not run the D4 on for a while after the D5 release to allow the informed to buy late and skip a model cycle (insert random D5 defence comment here). 2014MY Discovery

Ride is awful, interior is made using the plastic inserts from a box of Milk Tray. I lasted 6 months with mine and it had to go. Horrid thing, wouldn’t take one in raffle.

Blimey, a BMW video that I actually managed to watch through to the very end
Okay, it’s breathtakingly ugly, but that’s fashionable (and buyers can always repeat “it’s growing on me” until they kid themselves into believing it!) and it will also be heavily road biased, but there are a lot of good things in there.
It’s got an even better triple sunroof than the D4, a proper tailgate, a nice 6 seater configuration, 7 seats in something that can compete with a Full Fat, lots of leather and a decent sized boot. It’s even taken over from the Disco in having lots of glass although, like the current “Discovery”, there doesn’t appear to be the stadium seating that really benefits a 7 seater.
The high centre console and generic BMW car driving position prettty much says everything about this being a “driver’s car” (yuck!), rather than a proper 4x4. I suspect it’ll take a few sales from the Range Rover and the current Land Rover 7 seat whatsit/thingy in the US though. The Fatty is already a problem to park here in the UK so, at over 5 metres long, the X7 is probably better suited to the US. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
