Thanks Gareth, now spent 1.5hrs on phone to Admiral and they have all details and disclosures including video and pics.
Awaiting their call in the morning for car pick-up and hopefully equivalent hire car - need to get up early though and strip rack, ladder and all bits off her first (in case she doesn't come back) - will also take brand new spare/tyre off also
I have cover for being hit my 'Non insured' driver, so I should be ok, but of course next years cover will go up - I also have legal, and they are also calling tomorrow
Going to have a large Penderyn now, then see what the morning brings Iggy/Ieuan

Firstly sorry to hear this
Secondly, if the front wheel took that much of a knock on the kerb you may well be looking at a write off, sorry.
Thirdly think before you contact your insurance company. My lad had the same issue the owner admitted liability and put it through his own insurance and they paid for all the work in full and the hire car.
However and here is the rub, my lad followed due process and reported it to his insurance who did not pay out a penny, but when his renewal came through he had a no fault claim listed which meant his insurance went up by over £500.
The insurance confirmed that they had paid out nothing and were not out of pocket, they also confirmed that they knew my lad was not even in the car (car was parked) but they were still loading his policy............................................................
Russell, that is why on occasion i have already said on the forum that when you or your claim company put the claim in against the other insurers, to put a claim in for increased premiums for the next 5 years as your premiums go up due to no fault of your own.

Couple of years ago some idiot skidded in the snow and crashed into my wife's and my car parked outside our house (not the dIsco). Admiral insurance were great at sorting it all and promised me it would have no impact on my NCB or insurance following year. It did and it went up £500. I left Admiral at renewal but went back to them 2 years later as their quote was better than others and they were fully aware of previous claim.
Interestingly, the young guy who crashed into ours did so immediately after a fresh fall of snow but he drove off. I tracked his tyre tracks in the snow for a couple of streets on foot and found the remains of his car as he had left his bumper and other bits outside our house. He had legged it by then. I felt like a sniffer dog!

But how do you quantify the amount to claim for ?
However, you wouldn't be successful anyway

Lovely sunny day here in Weston, amazing what a good sleep and a bit of Whisky does to help
Not heard from insurance this morning, but expecting car to be taken away and have already stripped everything of and emptied of personal stuff Will hopefully get it back, repaired, but see what they think.
I tested the suspension this morning and it really struggles to lift the front, to get to normal height, gave up trying to get to extended height, as it took so long! Back two sides work fine, front right seems ok, but front offside (Corner where I hit) is really struggling, so perhaps I have a leak in the pipe or bag?
Big thanks to all those who've dropped me a pm and mail with advice etc
Let's see how things develop today, but I'm resigned to having increased premiums, but of course will shop around next year as usualIggy/Ieuan

Big question over the 3rd party being insured or not, Car going in today for repair quote, but now questions over replacement car due to 3rd party insurance question
So....Admiral legal phone call next and see if me adding this to my insurance was worth the money!
Drama that I don't need
But life goes on
EDIT: Police now notified alsoIggy/Ieuan
